Christ Has No Body
These are three version of the same poem, Christ has no Body originally authored by the Catholic St. Teresa of Avila. It demonstrates the reliance which Jesus places on all Christians for the execution of His Great Commission.
Christ Has No Body
Christ has
No body now on earth but yours;
No hands but yours;
No feet but yours;
Yours are the eyes,
Through which is to look out
Christ’s compassion to the world;
Yours are the feet
with which he is to go about
Doing good;
Yours are the hands
Which he is to bless now.
Christ Has No Body
Christ has no body but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the eyes with which he looks
Compassion on this world,
Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good,
Yours are the hands, with which he blesses all the world.
Yours are the hands, yours are the feet,
Yours are the eyes, you are his body.
Christ has no body now but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the eyes with which he looks
compassion on this world.
Christ has no body now on earth but yours.
Christ Has No Body
Christ has no body now on earth but yours,
no hands but yours,
no feet but yours,
yours are the eyes through which Christ’s compassion
is to look out to the earth,
yours are the feet by which He is to go about doing good
and yours are the hands by which He is to bless us now.
