The Glory of the Father, or the Glory of man, which will you choose?

Jesus did not receive glory and honour that came from man but, he did receive glory and honour that came from his Father only.

The problem I see with many today is that they are trying hard to receive glory one from another more so than the glory that comes from the Father only.

We do all this talk about becoming like Christ but, do we really see the walk that He walked?

Are we willing to walk in those same steps and be treated as He was?

Are we willing to bear in our body the marks of the LORD Jesus Christ, to drink of His cup, to be baptized with His baptism of fire?

Are we willing to be hated, lied on, called names, talked about and envied by those who are trying to gain honour from men?

Are we willing to love not our fallen lives unto death?

if you are being treated and lowly esteemed as Jesus was, then know that you indeed are walking the very path that your LORD Jesus walked before you, the very path He has designed that to few are willing to walk, for they love the praises of men more than the praise of God.

“If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true. Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.
But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved. He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me. And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me.
Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. I receive not honour from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.
I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?
Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?” John 5:31-47.

“Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God,” John 12:42-43.

“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD,” Joshua 24:15.
