Children in Revival
I must have first written this about 10 years ago and it’s even more valid today!
Children will play a huge role in this coming season of The LORD.
Perhaps this is this ‘something completely different’ being prophesied for End-time Revival in regard to how The LORD will move when He comes among us in revival. He has been emphasising a few things to me recently.
Children DO NOT receive a junior, watered down Holy Spirit Baptism — they receive the SAME Holy Spirit as everyone else.
This perhaps why the prophet Joel wrote, in Joel 2,
“And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. ” Joel 2:28.
It may also be why the prophet Amos wrote, in Amos 9,
“Behold, the days are coming,” says The LORD, “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it.” Amos 9:13.
— because the children will run ahead of the game!
Children don’t just expect God to move. They know that they know He will move and they move in anticipation — ahead of, and just waiting for The LORD to do what He has said He will do.
Children are so much more responsive to Holy Spirit prompting, and far less fearful of simply doing whatever He says to do.
This coming move from God’s Holy Spirit may well be subtitled by historians as ‘The Children’s Revival,’ because of the role that pre-teens and teens, indeed any under-30’s will play.
However, there will be an emphasis on the under18’s. They will reach generations and families we older folk have no hope of reaching. It could well also be known as The ‘School Gates Revival’ as mums and kids together talk about The LORD — and the word will spread!
Church, don’t ever underestimate the effect of our worship and teaching on our kids. Don’t ever doubt that they can do everything that we can do and more just because they are children.
Don’t ever try to limit them.
If they want to pray — let them pray.
If they want to prophesy — let them prophecy.
If they want to lay hands on the sick — let them do so.
We will see many, many wonderful miracles at the hands of children.
The only thing I would keep from them is deliverance, and even then, if they do that spontaneously, then who are we to stop them.
Just stay close to help them if necessary, using discernment where needed.
Yes Church, our children can probably teach us a thing or two about coming to The LORD ‘as a child’.
Maybe we need to watch and copy them a little bit more.
Something to think about…

Chris Bennett came to salvation in 1962 but didn’t begin ministry until 2007 — a late-comer! Now mandated by The LORD to prophesy and open old wells of revival in the U.K., but especially in Wales. He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them!
