Chastened to Be the Change!

Spiritual Maturity
One proof of spiritual maturity is your ability to avoid stupidity and unnecessary confrontations.
Self discipline is mastery and as we grow in grace and stature we easily identify such things as mere distractions that will cause us to be misaligned and deter our focus so we choose to hold our peace.
HUMILITY is a source of power, silence is, a form of strength.
The Father has been calling us to come up hither, spend more time with Him in the secret place.
In this dimension our eyes will be too gazed on HIM and our minds on heavenly things to even notice the mundane!
God bless you!
Warfare
Be careful of the warfare you enter into for others.
While we ought to pray one for another, ask God for wisdom because you might be interfering with either God’s Judgement or a situation where a curse has cause to come.then you’re faced with demonic attack and backlash.
Then there are others you will fight for their deliverance and they turn around and leave you for dead.
Leave All Vengeance to God!
Chastened to Be the Change!
“For whom The LORD loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.” Hebrews 12:6 (KJV).
No one has to tell me about the chastening of The LORD, because I know it quite well having had my share of struggles, tests and trials.
Hence like Peter by the grace of God I am in a unique position to “strengthen the brethren” and though still on the Potter’s wheel and learning am able (not by theology or hermeneutics) to help even edify others in avoiding certain pitfalls.
Luke 22, Jesus speaks to Simon Peter:
“And The LORD said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” Luke 22:31-32 KJV.
In this passage of Scripture we learn that Jesus was predicting Peter’s denial.
The Master foresaw Peter’s failure but also his REPENTANCE and RESTORATION and so was encouraging him how to move forward after his FAILED TEST.
The Master knew Peter would be faced with significant challenges and his day of TRIAL would come but reassured Peter that he would be interceding for him that through these trials he would be made stronger, and he was to use his experience to help and strengthen others who also have spiritual struggles.
Struggles can be complex and multifaceted, often intersecting with psychological, emotional, and social dimensions of a person’s life and there are many within and outside of the Body of Christ who are having such experiences:
- Doubt and uncertainty in God’s existence, ability , benevolence and power.
- Compromise, not because they don’t love or fear God or out of greed, but out of financial lack and need.
- Struggling to reconcile.
- Harboring unforgiveness for injustices done to them.
- Guilty and shame from Sexual immorality, substance abuse.
- Suicidal thoughts.
- Feeling unworthy and overall sinful, or incapable of living up to religious or spiritual standards which leads to backsliding,
- then Loneliness and Isolation, feeling rejected, inferior and disconnected.
Luke 12 says,
“And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes” Luke 12:47.
I believe leaders especially should not pretend as if they had it all together in their walk with God, don’t hide their sins and be a hypocrite, but instead let others know how by intervention of the HOLY SPIRIT they have OVERCOME for as the saying goes, with much knowledge and power comes great responsibility.
The severity of the consequences of disobedience I think are much greater for one that is called to service or as a disciple, may be more than an ignorant sinner and so we are held to more accountability.
Human frailty will cause mistakes and stumbling but to presumptuously continue and as David said “wickedly depart” from The LORD’s statutes and precepts maybe even more detrimental and with that said one must not think of himself more highly than he should, that the potential to fall to temptation is not in them or believe he is exempt from reprove and the need to REPENT.
Praise God that we have an ADVOCATE which is Jesus Christ.
“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18.
Shalom
