Celebrating Life & Our Friendships
This is a tribute this morning for a wonderful woman who just passed on to glory.
“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15
Still it is a reminder to all to cherish our loved ones and friendships always.
The bible says we must show ourselves friendly to even have friends.
Still our greatest friend is the Lord Jesus Christ.
“A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24
Good morning.
We find ourselves in different seasons of life.
Also we find certain people come into our lives forever!
Sometimes others just pass through for a season and that is alright, too.
It seems when we are young, we can have only one best friend.
As we mature we may can let many ‘best friends‘ in that special place in our hearts.
We might be able to let them in at the same time, even.
It is for sure we can have many best friends throughout a whole lifetime.
Still, some are so very special, they really stand out!
Such as is my ‘Golden Friend’ of 33 years named Margie.
My nickname to her was ‘my Marg’ for many years.
Her and me could always pick right back up in our communication. This was regardless of how much we talked or didn’t talk and/or get together throughout the years.
Many of us have had that kind of relationship with some friends.
My memories with my Marg are many. I told her granddaughter yesterday, that I could write a book.
I was not thinking that this morning, I would be writing an article here about friendships and relationships.
Some of my memories are humorous, some are sad.
Still we shared a lot of stuff and confidences together.
Margie was a wonderful woman and a very faithful, Christian friend. She loved and cared about her family and friends so very much.
What a true legacy for anyone to leave behind!
Margie was seeing angels and ready to ‘cross over’ to be with the Lord at the end.
She was desiring to be with her loved ones on the other side, too.
That is what is most important in life is to know The LORD!
I hope each one reading truly have that relationship with Jesus Christ.
Closing with more scriptures here.
God bless you all.
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:16-18

I am so sorry for your loss mama. I too understand the loss if a best friend as I lost mine a few years back. I love you “mazz’. It does get better with time.. I’m praying
I love you Angel. I’m really ok and know Margie is with the Lord. We will meet again! Just pray extra for the family today. I’m sure they need it and would appreciate it! ❤️
Thank you for sharing. Treasured memories, sorry for absence, BUT what a reunion coming! Our precious Savior’s provisions! Until then…love you my Friend.
Understand Betty, you are & always have been a busy person.
I think back to my time with you on your’Yahweh’ site and other places on the internet. I love you sister and so glad we got to meet in person finally and share a day! That picture is still on my phone as your contact pic. Hugs ❤️
I am sorry for your loss. I know you know it is temporary, but it hurts for now. May the thoughts of her in Glory comfort you.
Yes rsg we all can be comforted in any loss by that knowledge.
I do pray comfort for the family also in these coming days!
It is so hard for me to understand why so many reject Jesus Christ.
It seems sometimes when a loved one dies the people’s heart is softer and will hear better the true gospel message. That is my prayer in anyone reading who is suffering any loss today. God bless you much. ❤️
Thank you for sharing this. Wonderful Testimony
Sheilla
Thanks Shelia. ❤️
One scripture I should’ve maybe added to help us is Psalm 30:5
“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
Joyce, I so understand loss. One cannot put a price on a true friend. Your Marg sounds, like a real gem. We can lean hard on Jesus that friend that sticks closer than a brother. Still we are human and loss of someone we love, is not easy. You mentioned weeping for a nite…The other nite I saw that someone that I had known died quite young, and their service was this past weekend. I thought of this verse about weeping for a night and getting up in next morning, I said to myself, joy comes in the morning and as I said it, His joy took the place of tears. Will be praying for you dear Sister ❤️
Patricia, you always know what to say. Thank you! While I basically was trying to write my tribute to Marg, the grieve was about to consume me. The tears are letting up now, but maybe come back a little. Who knows? Still I learnt a longtime ago to take EVERYTHING to the Lord. Dont ‘deny’ the grieve, but rejoice if the loved one is forever with the Lord! Hope to meet you one day. Blessings ❤️
