Cave and Wilderness, or Promises?
Just recently, I have found myself in and out of the cave, in and out of the Desert Wilderness.
In the cave, I seem to be waiting for the Wind, the Earthquake and the Fire to stop raging so I can hear that still small voice again.
In the Desert Wilderness, the heavens seem like brass and everything just resounds with that dull metallic thud.
It’s been a weekly, often almost daily cycle of attack — and I am very aware that I’m not alone in this situation, as my wife and close friends are also experiencing similar things.
Suddenly The LORD interrupted my jumbled thoughts, “What will you do when Revival is here and the enemy really starts to attack?
What will you do when The Storm is unceasing — and there’s hundreds waiting on your response — watching to see how real your ‘mustard seed’ of Faith stands up to the persecution, when your doubts begin to show?
Will you wait upon Me then to show myself true?
Or will you stand on your faith in all of My Promises — which are all ‘Yes and Amen’?”
I realised the truth of this, not just for myself, but for all of us waiting on The LORD.
The LORD is saying, to all of us I believe, “Raise up your faith. Stand on My Promises, all of them, which are for you and all who would be part of the coming Revival.
Stand as the enemy attacks you at first.
Stand as he continues to attack, and when you have stood and withstood, stand as My victorious Church, My victorious Bride.
I AM not in the Wind.
I AM not in the Earthquake.
I AM not in the Fire.
I AM in the quiet and stillness of My whispered promises. There you will find Me — in My promises in the heat of the Battle of Revival!”

Chris Bennett came to salvation in 1962 but didn’t begin ministry until 2007 — a late-comer! Now mandated by The LORD to prophesy and open old wells of revival in the U.K., but especially in Wales. He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them! Founder, with wife Linda, of their ministry The Upper Room Encounter.
Chris before labour got in, I got labour pains. Remember the labour pains are only for a season before delivery comes in.
