Lesson 1 in Series – “Local Churches”

Some years ago I was working in a group of people to have a Church when I was praying one day and heard the Lord say to me,

THERE IS NO CANDLESTICK HERE IN THIS PLACE.

I did wonder at this statement and it led me to seek answers. A few days ago Celeste and I were told by the Lord AGAIN something that did catch our attention. He said,

I AM PLACING MY CANDLESTICK HERE IN BELEN IN THIS PLACE.

Again I was amazed by these statements. But we should not be.

Revelation 1:11-20 needs to be read again carefully and noted that WHEN JESUS COMES he will come walking in the midst of SEVEN CANDLESTICKS and holding in his hand SEVEN PASTORS. This picture does portray to us the Churches which were SEVEN LOCAL CHURCHES. Of course the number 7 does speak of the perfection and completeness of his church body which will evidently be made up of LOCAL ASSEMBLIES OR CHURCHES WITH PASTORS.

It should be than noted that in each LOCAL CHURCH he places a CANDLESTICK. Or as some have ably applied, A LAMP STAND. I believe we see here the Lords application which says that in each Church WE SHOULD SEE A LIGHT COMING FORTH. The fact that the LOCAL CHURCH then should be a LIGHT SOURCE.

I have come to this conclusion than after all this that the Lord’s plan is centered around his People who are located everywhere on the face of the earth but EMPHASIZED AGAIN AS …… LOCAL ASSEMBLIES OR CHURCHES WITH PASTORS.

To some today this is nearing insanity to even thank that God would have such a plan because they are seeing and speaking only about a UNIVERSAL CHURCH. I do not deny that there is such and that there is the Church which is Universal, but I have been forced by Scripture and now Revelation Knowledge from the Lord Himself that there is not only the universal aspect of the Church but there is the LOCAL ASPECT OF THE CHURCH. It is clear to me that the Lord is saying He wants a GROUP OR ASSEMBLY IN EVERY PLACE (LOCATION ON EARTH) a LIGHT BEARER OR CANDLESTICK. If we consider this teaching AGAIN we should come to the conclusion that HAVING A CANDLESTICK IN EVERY PLACE WILL GIVE LIGHT TO THE LOCAL PEOPLE.

I believe that what God is saying is this, IT IS HIS WILL TO HAVE A CHURCH ASSEMBLY AND A PASTOR and MINISTRY GIFTS, IN ALL PLACES and in doing so HE WILL LIGHT THE WAY. I have learned through the years as a Pastor that THERE IS NO HIGHER AUTHORITY THAN A ….. LOCAL CHURCH. Each Assembly has GREAT AUTHORITY ON EARTH IN JESUS CHRIST NAME AND THE WORD OF GOD.

In the past, (regardless of the state of affairs of the Church today and the great need of revival and repair and crying need of true Godly Pastors who are moving with a God Call to the five fold gifting); God has advanced his truth of the Gospel by the Church.

I myself would most likely never have even heard about the Gospel and have gotten saved without a Church. The Church which was moving and carrying out the Great Commission sending forth Missionaries (Apostles) to set up even more LIGHT SOURCES… CANDLESTICKS. The Church I found Jesus Christ in as Savior in was not perfect but was still standing in the right message of Salvation. I heard about Jesus at an early age and even was saved at 12 years old. I did cut my teeth on the back of a pew and by chewing song books. Without the Church my Father and Mother would still be lost and as well the whole community. The need was met by a Pastor who did work diligently among the People to find his Sheep.

Now many are saying that since this Church Way…. which is well defined in the Scriptures by Jesus Himself, is antique and should be thrown out. Many have even gone so far as to teach this is not Scriptural Teaching to even say that Local churches are not even taught. Adding also that there is no need for Pastors, and bring down the clear teaching of not only Pastors but the remaining FIVE FOLD MINISTRY of Apostle’s, Prophets, Teachers and also Evangelists. All this has come about by the Failure of many in many places seemingly which has thrown a cloud upon believers who many have been hurt.

Like I said, I was SHAKEN BACK TO REALITY when recently the Lord did speak to Celeste and I about the NEED FOR A CHURCH AND ABOUT HIM PLACING HIS CANDLESTICK IN PLACE. Than Celeste has even seen with her own eyes Jesus walking around in the Church which He said he would establish here in THIS LOCAL PLACE. I have been as well reminded of the verse that UNLESS GOD BUILDS THE HOUSE…. THEY THAT LABOR LABOR IN VAIN… and that He was ADDING TO THE CHURCH DAILY SUCH AS SHOULD BE SAVED!! WOW

Now I realize the great darkness at hand, but let me remind you of a verse….

THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL OVER MY CHURCH.. In other words, THE CHURCH WILL NEVER BE DESTROYED. God himself is telling me HIS CHURCH WHICH IS LOCAL AS WELL AS UNIVERSAL… WILL NEVER CEASE TO EXIST.

In Jeremiah I have read how God said that he was angry with the Pastors who scattered his Sheep. He said he would take out the bad pastors and replace them with TRUE SHEPHERDS… PASTORS. He said that these new pastors would TAKE CARE OF HIS SHEEP.

The Lord is ABLE. He is no weak person who can fail. His work will be finished. I say, the Church will experience the Hand of God upon it and we will see it survive but not just survive but PREVAIL AND RISE UP. I say I hear the Lord saying AWAKENING AND REVIVAL TO RENEW HIS CHURCHES.

In China when the communist did move to destroy the Churches they just went UNDERGROUND AND GREW EVEN MORE. They are growing with great strength in many places. It has been impossible for the ungodly communist to stop the China Local Churches. So what makes you think that AMERICAN UNGODLY LEADERS CAN STOP GOD’S CHURCH?

Or that the Church is NO LONGER NEEDED??? If you are preaching such dangerous doctrine of demons as to say that the Church is NO LONGER AROUND AND LOCAL.. perhaps you should awaken to the fact that you are speaking in Demonic power not God’s Power.

Even Jesus told Peter, Get behind me Satan. Even Peter, who was a chosen Apostle, did walk in demonic power when he spoke the wrong thing momentarily. All should pray about what they are speaking about Local Churches and instead PRAY FOR THE CHURCHES AND FOR REVIVAL. (and as well)… Instead than of forsaking the Churches and leaving them to the enemy to destroy perhaps many should go back and Fight for that which God’s has planned and is doing.

Candlesticks:
