We know through the writings of Apostle Peter that the headship of a man over his wife can only be domestic, so the home can run as it should be and the wife is protected by Him.

But that is only the physical side.

What about the spiritual side?

We know that spiritually all are equal and Jesus is the head of all, (1 Peter 2:25).

“For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls,” 1 Peter 2:25.

Spiritually there is no difference between men and women.

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus,” Galatians 3:28.

So there is no reason to subjugate women or stop them ministering (preaching, teaching, mentoring, discipling).

So what restrictions are placed on women ministering?

They mus be anointed to be doing the work they are doing.

The restrictions placed on men.

To be a leader their household: children/ relatives, house maintenance and cleaning, and marriage must be in order.

“The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things,” Titus 2:3.

“That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,” Titus 2:4.

“To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.” Titus 2:5.

Remember, the obedience to the husband is for domestic purposes only and not for spiritual headship purposes.

People called to mentor and train you are not in control of you, but are only teachers, advisers and encouragers or they would be taking the place of Jesus and not doing the work God has called them too.

Remember that at Pentecost, The Holy Spirit fell on men and women anointing them for ministry and not just the men. So to stop women ministering or holding positions of leadership (if they are anointed to do the work) is to go against what God did at Pentecost.
