Calling All Elders!
The Spirit continues to speak expressly today, to those who have an ear to listen. Anybody can hear from God.
Now that’s likely to upturn the ideas of some, but we are talking about God here; the infinite One.
In this hour, it almost seems a waste of time to re-declare some things; even if they are quite scriptural. This self-deserved, self-motivated, god of self, has caused many of us to err badly.
At this point of a message, we must allow the Spirit to remind us of our need for humility. Not to be too harsh. However, there are times when He speaks straightforwardly; often, in order to get our attention.
But be sure it’s Him, and not us. God does not think like we do; He’s often even more direct. If there are no saints, there is no Church. Where there are no sheep, there is no need for a shepherd. We are reminded.
What is an Elder? If you search, you will find that it is not always talking about some older person of age. It does not exclusively mean, one person in leadership.
It does describe those who are spiritual leaders, but it can also be applied to those who are mature; in faith and in spirit. These are full-grown people, who have true experience in the way God’s House is to be run, and they look out for other sheep also.
On many pews, sit those who have walked this path for a long time. They’re seasoned. They’ve seen our beginning, all through the middle, and where we sit now.
The fact that they have been pushed back or hindered, matters not to God. It must be said, that many received spiritual gifts long ago; and they still have them. And they know that.
They have wisdom that beginners do not have. They are saints of the Most High.
You do not have to be old, to have been taught by the Spirit. It depends on how hungry you’ve been, and just how dedicated you’ve been to following the leading of the Holy Ghost.
How well, you’ve been taught by Him. There are many immature saints; and they’ve been sitting on benches for years.
Now, I didn’t say that. Paul said, they have not matured in the Spirit. They should be teaching others, but they never got that far.
“The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means…” Jeremiah 5:31a.
God was talking to Jeremiah. Let us hear these next words: “And my people, love to have it so.” Jeremiah 5:31b.
God was speaking about His people then, and He is speaking about His people today.
That, includes us. Will someone arise, and ask just how so much power was taken away from the saints of God? How is it, that the Holy Ghost cannot speak freely?
God is calling those who know how it should be. There is a reason why so many of us left here, were exposed to the real thing. We know too much to remain deceived by a different order in the body of Christ.
If our roots were truly grounded in love and in Him, we are much needed.
Not in some of these commandments of men or belabored concepts of tradition. But ready now, to arise and go forth in the Spirit.
The Holy Ghost in us, must now stand up. He doesn’t wish to sit down.
“The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power; and My people love to have it so. but what will you do in the end?” Jeremiah 5:31.
