Cain’s Curse
I was listening to Genesis…God was speaking of the curse on Cain.
“So The LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”
Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.
Then The LORD said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?”
He said,”I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”
And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.
So now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.
When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth.”
And Cain said to The LORD, “My punishment is greater than I can bear! Surely You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth, and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me.”
And The LORD said to him, “Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.”
And The LORD set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him.” Genesis 4:6-15 NKJV.
Thoughts about Poverty as a curse for murder, not caring for your brother, hating your brother, or jealousy came to me.
So to break poverty, we must repent then also for any of these types of violence in our family line, and ask GOD to deliver us from all that is in us.
Repent from these…
— Refuse to hate.
— Refuse to want vengeance
— Refuse to hold on to anger
— Refuse to be jealous.
— Repent for past ancestors who also did these things — tribal rivalries, hating other ethnic groups, murdering others.
Jesus said that hatred is the same as murder in our hearts. So every thought must be taken captive. We cannot run with thoughts of hatred, jealousy, anger, vengeance and murder.
Yet on television daily we see such things. And in movies it is even rationalized and exalted. War is exalted.
We must subdue the thoughts the enemy puts there and refuse to HATE.
Fear and hatred led Saul to Murder and to Witchcraft in the end.
When we cheat our brother or sister, when we compete with them, when we are envious, when we are apathetic to them, it only reflects the hatred in our hearts.
Obviously there are always people we can’t seem to resolve issues with and have to keep from.
Even Jesus said, what has light to do with darkness. There are also some who are so toxic to us, we can’t handle them, but maybe someone stronger can.
Today at the top levels of government are people given to this hatred, given to murder those who oppose them, and it has been so for a long time. Many are serving Baphomet/ Satan rather than God.
It might do us well to repent for them as well in order for God to bring mercy to those in our Nation who don’t know Him.
Maybe they think they do, but they are not born-again.
May God reveal Himself to all who are still in darkness and may we be bright shining lights in that darkness as well!
