By Your Hand We Are Freed
A Psalm to sing and praise to God, out loud.
By Your Hand We Are Freed
Yesterday we knew not we were slaves
Even though we were alive, we were dead
The enemy had us believing untruths
Lies meant to destroy us
To strip hope from our hearts
And put us into invisible chains
By Your Hand You delivered us
Without You, LORD, we would have been lost
By Your Hand You said, “Enough! Let My people go!”
Yet the pharaohs of this day, like those of old,
Were too prideful to consider
Your Power was greater than theirs
They continued their strongholds
With evil plots and wicked schemes
You saw it all oh mighty LORD
Their cup of inequity had become full
Their time had run out
The door of Your Mercy closed
No longer were the peoples of this earth
To remain in terror and fear
No longer were the peoples of this earth
To remain in the darkness with no hope
By Your Hand, You shook and ripped evil apart
Exposing its darkness for all to see
Oh victory, by Your Hand we are freed
Oh victory, by Your Hand this world is free
Oh victory, by Your Hand this battle is won
Thank you LORD God for this victory!
You always knew the Beginning from the End
Before the Foundations of this earth
You always had the enemy at odds
Your Ways brought him defeat
There was never a battle You lost
Victory was, and is, and always will be Yours
By Your Hand we fear not
For if You are for us, who can be against us?
Oh victory, by Your Hand we are freed
Oh victory, by Your Hand this world is free
Oh victory, by Your Hand this battle is won
Thank you LORD God for this victory!
Let us look now to You LORD
And know it was You who brought down Babylon
Your Glory shines for all to see
Once again there is freedom and prosperity
Look down LORD, Your people are flooding the streets
Dancing, praising, falling to their knees
From their mouths they shout:
“Thank You LORD God for this victory!”
Oh victory, by Your Hand we are freed
Oh victory, by Your Hand this world is free
Oh victory, by Your Hand this battle is won
Thank you LORD God for this victory!
Victory! victory!! victory!!!
Victory! victory!! victory!!!
Shout it out as loud as you can
Oh let us never forget this victory
By Your Hand we are freed
Thank you LORD God for this victory!
“David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.” 1 Samuel 17:45-47.
“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31.

“For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” Deuteronomy 20:4.
“Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand.” Psalm 20:6.
“With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.” Psalm 60:12.
