Be Determined like Jacob!
Be determined like Jacob:
I am not going to let go until you bless me!!
In the book of genesis, we all know how Jacob wrestled with the angel all night long.
He was on the run for his life after betraying and his brother out of his inheritance.
One night while on the run, Jacob came upon a man and realize that the man was an angel from the lord. Jacob wrestled with the angel and refused to let him go, no matter how the angel struggled, Jacob had a life and death hold on him.
He knew he wanted a change in his life for the better. He was tired of being a trickster, a deceiver, a liar and a betrayer.
He was messed up and was determined on getting a blessing from the angel. Jacob may have a limp a the hip from with the angel, but he got his blessing!! Finally the angel blessed Jacob so Jacob would leave him alone.
And sometimes like Jacob we want god to deliver us from somethings, we get tired of being sick and tired. Sometimes our life is in such a mess, we get tired of where we are spiritually… we get tired of looking ugly spiritually, we get tired of deceiving god, others and ourselves in our spiritual life… we want a change to see a change!!!!
And today if you want that change in your life… be determined like Jacob and wrestle with the lord, stay on your knees until they are sore and you get a limp like Jacob did.
Be persistent in seeking him, praising him and glorifying him going before him, talking to him, praying to him.
Keep wrestling with him until your faith and persistence gets his attention!!!
Be determined to hold on and tell him, “Lord, Lord I need a change in my life. I am not going to let you go until you bless my soul!!!”
For he is a rewarder of them who diligently and persistently seek after him!!
