Bring Back the Word to the House of God!
You know, I grew up in a conservative church where they tell you about many religious codes, but I seem to have this sensitivity to the Holy Spirit even though I never knew what it was then. I just had this “different” outlook and approach to the Word.
I had strange encounters with The LORD, contradicting so many things they taught then. For instance, it was said, “If you eat in the dream you are possessed,” and all that stuff. You know what I mean, don’t you?
Well, several many times I had a particular dream recurring and I was afraid to voice it out, so I stomached them all. This is the first time I am sharing this here. I think it’s the right time to do so.
In a vision of the night, just when those teachings were on the cutting edge, I would see myself hold a Bible and suddenly it will turn into a refrigerator. Then I would open the door and see all sort of drinks, wine, milk, butter and several many other things.
None of these interests me, instead I would see myself open the door of the deep freezer, pick up a spoon and start scooping ice-blocks to eat. I would eat and eat, but funnily enough, the more I ate, the more I wanted.
Then months later, this would happen again. But the things in the refrigerator never excited nor interested me. I would go straight to the deep freezer and repeat the same. It was only once I ever remember tasting butter and then I switched back to ice-blocks.
At another time, in an afternoon vision, I saw The LORD’s hand appear through the clouds pointing to a Bible and said “Tear from the book of Jeremiah and eat.” I did and I was sweet in my mouth and bitter in my stomach.
When I woke up from that vision, I could still feel the taste of the sweetness in my mouth and bitterness in my stomach that I was almost threw up. I knew I had found something of great worth, a treasure.
“Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, o LORD God of hosts,” Jeremiah 15:16.
Till this day, nothing captivates my spirit like The LORD’s deep words. I may starve and hunger for food, but not for His deep words which are food to my spirit! LORD, you may starve me of anything else, but not that!
Oh how sweet when His deep communicates with our deep! God is a God of depths! He called Ezekiel out of from the shallow waters into his depths, till it became a river that could not be passed over…
As I look at this generation of believers, I fear for one thing…
Jesus said, “When the son of man comes, shall He still find faith on earth?”
Hmmmmm…. I don’t know, becasue the active ingredient of faith is gradually extincting and eroding away in today’s church system. There is only one avenue through which faith comes. That is the word!
If we are born again through the incorruptible seed of the Word, how can we deny, loathe and detest that which gave us life? It is not news anymore that what is preached on most pulpit even though lifted from the Bible is void of the Word of God!
Fellowship is so boring without the Word; not just preaching, as most preaching ain’t the word!
So in essence, when Jesus asked that question, what was he really concerned about? He was actually asking “When the son of man comes, shall he still find the Word on earth?”
If this generation of believers will survive extinction, then we must bring back “The word of God to the House of God.” If this is not done, I’m afraid we will loose our children to Illuminati, Freemasonry and other cults.
This is a clarion call to all ministers of The LORD Jesus Christ… “Bring back the Word of God into the House of God!”
