Towards the end of his life, Smith Wigglesworth spoke this truth for us to reflect upon today — even though it was aimed at The Church, 70 years ago!

“The reason people are not seeing Jesus is because Christian people are not filled with Jesus.

They are satisfied with attending meetings weekly, reading the Bible occasionally, and praying sometimes.

It’s an awful thing for me to see people who profess to be Christians lifeless, powerless, and in a place where their lives are so parallel to unbeliever’s lives that it is difficult to tell which place they are in, whether in the flesh or in The Spirit.”

What a picture of The Church today! Attending meetings weekly, reading The Bible occasionally, and praying sometimes. More interested in having cake, coffee, and a gossip after the meeting than receiving or giving ministry time.

I hear The LORD calling me to, “Prophesy to the bones!”

So I speak to those dry bones in the church, and I call upon those bones to rise up, to refresh yourselves in The LORD, for The LORD has need of you today.

I speak to the army that has fallen into disarray before the world.

I call upon the army of The LORD to reassemble, to re-arm, to once more don the full armour of God – the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, the shield of faith, and the shoes of the Gospel.

To hone and sharpen the Sword of the Word of God. To stand ready to fight for your King — Jesus Christ.

Now I prophesy to the breath, to the Ruach of God to blow life into this Remnant Army. I speak to the breath to give life where life was fading, to give strength where it was gone.

I speak zeal into this army of The LORD — fearless zeal with discernment to know when to stand and fight, when to advance under The LORD’s banner, and when to hunker down until the storm has passed.

LORD, refresh, renew, and revive Your church. Unite them and use them in this coming war! In Jesus’ Name I ask it. AMEN and Amen
