Blinded by the Light
The book of Acts tells a story about a man named Saul who had a divine encounter as he was on the road to Damascus. At that time, Saul was persecuting and killing Christians before his life was radically transformed. A great light came upon him from heaven and the Lord spoke to him audibly and said, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?”
Saul knew that this was not a natural voice and he replied: “Who are you Lord?” The Lord replied: “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” Jesus was speaking of an ox goad which was a stick with an iron tip used to gather up the cattle. The farmer would prick the animal to steer it in the right direction.
The Lord then gave Saul direction of where he should go, which began his amazing ministry. He was then blinded for three days and did not eat any food during this time. This man Saul had his name changed and became the great apostle Paul . He wrote fourteen books in the New Testament and had an extraordinary miracle, signs and wonders ministry. He brought many into salvation and deliverance from demons. Many of you have also come from a dark background and the Holy Spirit is showing me that He wants to do astounding things in your lives and ministries.
The Lord says,
“I am looking for those who are not afraid to have a life changing encounter. I am looking for those who will receive this radical change.
Allow Me to re-position you and re-program areas in your life that needs to be turned around. Allow Me to be your strength so that you will no longer be weak and frail but I will give you courage, boldness and confidence. Every area of your life will be made over as you allow Me to work in you.
Some of you are allowing the enemy to immobilize you and take you out of the race. Don’t allow him to desensitize you from My leading. Don’t allow the enemies strategies or the pressures of this world to take you off course.
I have called you to greater things. I will transform your life in the same way that I have transformed Paul’s life and brought him into an exceptional ministry.
In this season, My eyes are running to and fro looking for those to show Myself strong on their behalf. I am looking for those who will rise up and walk in the light of My calling.
Don’t procrastinate any longer, but allow Me to change you. I am inviting you up to new heights and new levels. I want you to experience all the benefits of the Covenant that I have made with you. I want to release divine encounters to you and raise you up to a greater level of walking in the power and authority that was freely given to you.
I am the light of the world, and as you recognize this and connect with Me, you will be continually transformed into My image. Allow My word to become a reality in your life. Just as My word became flesh, allow it to become a part of you.
I am calling each one of you to come up to a new place. As you surrender, you will be amazed at the heights I will take you to.
Allow Me to break off restrictions that have kept you from moving forward, so that you will have this victory. My plans and purposes will unfold for you as you allow your life to become one with Me”
says the Lord.
As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. 4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” Acts 9:3-4
Then Saul, who also is called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him and said, “O full of all deceit and all fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord? Acts 13:9-10
For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6
