Blessed By The Greatness of Your Hands
A psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
Blessed By The Greatness of Your Hands
How mighty are Your Works, LORD
In wisdom You made them all;
The earth is full of Your Creatures
Great and small
You, LORD made them all
Oh yes, You did by The Greatness of Your Hands
We are blessed by Your Creatures
For You give them to us as provision
The hunter cannot hunt without the deer
The fisherman cannot fish without the fish
The trapper cannot trap without the otter
We lack for nothing because of You
For everywhere on the earth they are found
The skies and seas are teeming
The forests abound in fullness
Even the deserts—You have made a way to thrive
And in the coldest and hottest places Your Work is found!
Thank you LORD for Your Gifts of Grace;
For all the creatures You give out of pure love
Each and every one has a special place
May we honor You all the days of our lives
And forget not the wonders of The Greatness of Your Hands
We are blessed by Your Creatures
For You give them to us to gladden our hearts
They leap through the grass
They frolic in the forest
They make homes in the trees
Our hearts smile at their simplicity
For You give them to us in our need
We spin wool to weave clothes
We collect honey to sweeten our tongues
We craft horns to blow
These gifts are only possible because of You
Thank you LORD for Your Gifts of Grace;
For all the creatures You give out of pure love
Each and every one has a special place
May we honor You all the days of our lives
And forget not the wonders of The Greatness of Your Hands
All creatures look to You LORD
To give them their food
Just as we should do
When You give it to them, they gather it up;
When You open Your Hand,
They are satisfied with good things
Just as we should be
When You hide Your Face, they are terrified;
When You take away their breath, they die and return to dust
When You send Your SPIRIT, they are created,
And You renew the face of the ground
Thank you LORD for Your Gifts of Grace;
For all the creatures You give out of pure love
Each and every one has a special place
May we honor You all the days of our lives
And forget not the wonders of The Greatness of Your Hands
Thank you LORD for Your Gifts of Grace;
For all the creatures You give out of pure love
Each and every one has a special place
May we honor You all the days of our lives
For the abundance You set before us by The Greatness of Your Hands
For we never have to worry as the sun rises on a new day
Thank you LORD for Your Gifts of Grace;
We are eternally blessed by The Greatness of Your Hands
“How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number — living things both large and small,” Psalm 104:24-25.
“All creatures look to you to give them their food at the proper time. When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things . When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take away their breath, they die and return to the dust. When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground,” Psalm 104:27-30.
“And if you faithfully obey the voice of The LORD your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, The LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of The LORD your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl,” Deuteronomy 28:1-5.
“Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything,” Genesis 9:3.
“The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works,” Psalm 145:15-17.
“He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light by night. They asked, and he brought quail, and gave them bread from heaven in abundance. He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it flowed through the desert like a river,” Psalm 105:39-41.
“Who provides for the raven its prey, when its young ones cry to God for help, and wander about for lack of food?” Job 38:41.
“And she said, “As The LORD your God lives, I have nothing baked, only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. And now I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it and die.” And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said. But first make me a little cake of it and bring it to me, and afterward make something for yourself and your son. For thus says The LORD, the God of Israel, ‘The jar of flour shall not be spent, and the jug of oil shall not be empty, until the day that The LORD sends rain upon the earth.’” And she went and did as Elijah said. And she and he and her household ate for many days,” 1 Kings 17:12-15.
