Oh my LORD! I’m surrounded in this chaos and now this preacher is talking about birds feeding a prophet, and lilies that don’t toil and rainbows that tell me God keeps His Promises..

Here I am trying to pay these overdue bills so I don’t lose all I got, my mom is sick, my kid is hanging with the wrong crowd and this preacher is up here talking about birds and dancing through the lilies!

Have you been there?

If we all are honest, yes…. at some point we have questioned many things during sermons when the thermostat of our trial got turned up! 🙋‍♀️

It was hard to see beyond the words coming from that pulpit.

Well, Elisha could have prayed that God would destroy the enemies who were surrounding the camp, but he didn’t.

He prayed something more powerful. It was not that God takes your enemies away — but that he enables you to see beyond them.

Not that he takes your problems away — but that he enables your Faith to see beyond them.

The first circle you are surrounded by is ‘the enemies’, and they were real, but Elisha prayed, the servant saw no way out of this. Have you been there?

“Lord, open his eyes that he may see…!” That he may see what? That there are more with us than with them.

The first circle will always tell you that you are overwhelmed, outnumbered, and defeated.

When the servant opened his eyes he saw what had been there all along. There was a host of Angel Armies surrounding the enemies who surrounded them.

Whatever is surrounding you, God is already surrounding it!

I declare your eyes be opened to look beyond the circumstance, look beyond the haze of the battlefield, look beyond those enemies that surround you, look beyond the darkness closing in, see with 20/20 spiritual vision! In Jesus’ mighty Name!
