Biblical Worship
Biblical worship isn’t primarily about singing songs.
While songs can be praise to God and part of worship, primarily Biblical Worship is described as presenting our lives as living sacrifices.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” Romans 12:1.
This means actively doing what is just for those in need, loving God’s family, and showing mercy towards those who do not know God and His Goodness.
“And The LORD said, “I will cause all My Goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim My Name, The LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” Exodus 33:19.
When we make Worship about primarily singing songs, we actually show our spiritual immaturity and misunderstanding about what God truly desires.
God first desires our hearts, which we can only know are upright and acceptable before Him by what we do, not by what we say and sing.
Faith and Works must be working together for us to actually be worshipping.
“What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? C an faith save him?….
…. Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” James 2:14,17.
In that light, worship by praise is only good before God if paired with what we live and do to serve The LORD.
This Truth means that in our day and age, when image and religious acts are many and popular, it’s safe to assume that God would often tell us to stop singing, prancing and posturing around before Him, to actually start living for Him — and doing what He’s told us to do!

Amen and worship is worshipping Him for WHO He is – it is a heart attitude which is adoring Him – glorifying Him – and when we have the right heart attitude towards God our lives will reflect that in being a living sacrifice
