Being sifted as wheat
“And the Lord said, ‘Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren,'” Luke 22:31-3 (KJV).
What does it mean when the Lord says to Simon, ‘Satan desires to SIFT YOU AS WHEAT?’ He will do his best to show the flaws in your life, to bring criticism and errors, and disprove you affecting your witness for the Lord….. bringing discouragement and failure to you. Just don’t forget the source…… Satan….. .for he is a liar and thief.
Praise the Lord, Satan is NOT stronger than God…… Did you know the Lord prays for you that your faith would not fail. That you would be strong and courageous and not falter, that you would be a bright shining star of light for Him?
Hold tight today to the ONE who holds you in the palm of His hand, for HE IS PRAYING FOR YOU! And with Him, you cannot fail for He is your rear guard and your shelter against the raging sea…. just put your trust in Him today for He loves you and He will keep you strong.
