Behold The Lamb!
I remembered tonight as I was thinking of Jesus being our Passover, an old song we used to sing many years ago.
And one of the verses said this..
“You are all my righteousness. I stand complete in you and worship you!”
I remembered the first time as we were singing it that It hit me that, He paid it all! I had a really bad day that day and was feeling unworthy to even worship but suddenly the realization of that line in the song really hit me that He was ALL my righteousness!
Not anything that I did or didn’t do, but he paid it all and he that knew no sin became sin that I might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!
Wow, yes it hit me so hard and I just yelled out loud from the pit of my innermost being, “Thank you Jesus!” and tears began to flow uncontrollably!
A Vision of Jesus Paying the Price!
A year or so later I was on the floor at the First Assembly Of God Church when travail began to come on me, you know the kind when you are into the groanings and The Holy Spirit just takes over?
All of a sudden, I went into a Vision of Jesus on The Cross and what He showed me changed me forever.
I felt and saw in the Vision how very pure Jesus was when he went to The Cross.
He had never sinned after all! Then all at once sin came on Him! I saw every sinful, filthy, thing touch that pure sinless, spotless, Lamb.I was impressed at how that must have been.
Then after that sin and filth of the world began to touch Him, he suddenly became the sin!
The Bible says this in 2 Corinthians 5:21
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
When the reality hit me that He became sin for us, who knew no sin that we might become the righteousness of God in Him! I
wept and wept until there was a literal puddle of tears in front of me. Woeh!! He paid it all, everyone!
He paid it all!!
“Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” Isaiah 53:10-12
