Before Becoming an Apostle…
Before You Can Become an Apostle for the LORD;
You First Must Be Struck Down!
As I was meditating upon the LORD, God spoke and highlighted these words, “Before you can be a great apostle, you first must be struck down!”
“And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And I said, Who art thou, LORD? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest,” Acts 26:14-15 KJV.
The LORD begin to speak so powerfully to me how that many false apostles have entered the land claiming to be one of His apostles, but not so!
He said before one can truly claim this office, they must first become like Paul! Paul had to be humbled because it was not until then, that he could see his need. His desire for intimacy!
The apostolic call has to be one of brokenness, humility and a love and a hunger for the LORD!
The true Apostles will run from PRIDE! Something many so called apostles do not possess!
The LORD said to me that Apostle Paul always had a need and a hunger for Him, but what he didn’t have was the direct call and the right mandate from the LORD!
Paul thought that what he was doing (persecuting and killing the true Christians) was coming from the heart of the Father, until he had a personal encounter from the LORD!
And, it was then that the LORD struck him down, causing him to humble himself to seek God that he heard the call directly from the LORD!
“Then he said, “Who art thou, LORD?…..”
Pride/ Religion kept him from seeing who the LORD was.
“….. And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I….
Here it because personal and intimate.
“….. will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee…..”
Here he received his mandate.
“…… to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me,” Acts 26:15-18 KJV.
You see, Saul began his studies of the Hebrew Scriptures in the city of Jerusalem under Rabbi Gamaliel. So, you see he was not a novice to studying the word!
It was under Gamaliel that Saul would begin an in-depth study of the Law with the famous Rabbi.
But, I don’t care how religious we are, if we do not have an intimate relationship with God we still can miss Him and His purpose for our lives, even if we are brought up in the church!
I sure pray somebody caught, that because our minds and hearts must be renewed before true salvation even comes!
God is speaking loud and clear in this season, separating those who have become impersonators and impostors of the Apostolic! Those who are false apostles, lying workers.
They only pretend to be apostles of Christ for gain. For many like Paul, have been around the Church and they know all the right things to say and do, but they lack the personal encounter, the vision and the mandate from the LORD directly!
Paul himself said,
“That does not surprise us, because even Satan changes himself to look like an angel of light. So it does not surprise us if Satan’s servants make themselves look like (fake) servants who work (manifest the works of the flesh) for what is right. But in the end those people will get the punishment they deserve,” 2 Corinthians 11:13-15.
Help us Holy Ghost! True apostles are broken from stardom and Hollywood looking (to be great and like Satan, manifest the works of the flesh instead of the spirit)!
Their goal is not to camouflage themselves, as being the real thing! But, those who are fakes, will walk a short time as though they are righteous, but after a while, the true them will eventually show up and their lack of fruit, revealed!
The LORD is speaking today and those who are truly His, will manifest the true signs of an apostle!
They are called and set aside for the LORD’s use and His agenda and not their own agenda!
The work they do is not about what they choose to do. This is why the LORD STOPPED Paul in his tracks and changed the road he was on!
The LORD knew Paul loved him from birth, but he had to change the course he was on, if he was ever to becomes His general, in His army!
When God has an apostolic call upon your life, He will stop you in your tracks and turn you around just as he did Saul.
He want send the angels, but he will do it directly and it will be a direct personal encounter like no other you ever known.
Your life will never be the same! No more Church as usual! No more going alone to get alone! No more dead works! And, their is absolutely no way you can remain the same! No! I’m afraid not!
For, It will be such a great encounter that no matter who tries to tell you different you will not be persuaded!
After Paul’s encounter with the LORD, he became a devoted General to the LORD! He stood up for the gospel, unlike many who are claiming the title and position of the sent ones!
His goal was not to be famous or great in the eyes of men, and his faith was in the one who called him!
God is trying the hearts of many in this season! If you are truly called, you will be struck down (you will face many deaths to your own vision and make many sacrifices) not just once, but on many occasions!
This message truly hits home, because it takes me back to my childhood when I literally had an open vision. The world was turned upside down.
It was not until the LORD called me out of the religious church to the apostolic and the prophetic that I realized just how lost I truly was!
God is not about programs, entertainment, gimmicks and performances. He desires that we give him our all, and not just the part that makes us look like a Christian!
