Be Still My Soul — Take Me Into the Holy of Holies
Good evening.
Today in this troubled time we need to get into and stay in our ‘Secret Place’ with The LORD, that is behind the veil.
This song with this particular version really touches my heart. Take the time to play it as you read today!
Are we not supposed to operate in this present world in everyday matters?
Yes of course we do! Still we must hear HIM ‘above’ the clamber and noise of the world!
We are to be in the world but not of it.
We must learn to stay in that Secret Place which can only be found through total surrender to Jesus Christ.
The Spirit of The LORD recently spoke to me: “Learn to hear Me ‘above’ the noise.”
Am I always in that place to hear The LORD clearly? Of course not, but still trying to stay that close to The LORD so I am able to discern His very heart in the matter.
You see I get a little shook, when I get out of my comfort zone. I am just being transparent and real here, to possibly help someone else.
I’m afraid we all like our ‘comfort zones’, till The LORD takes us out of it. Yes, and He surely will for ours and others benefit.
God can make all our ‘uncomfortable zones,’ ‘comfortable’ !
e.g. A worst scenario for me is maybe a crowded place, with everyone talking at the same time. Then add heavy congestion with hardly any room to walk where you are at.
This could be at a restaurant and even your server is getting your order wrong. Sometimes, you can’t even find your server.
(On a side note, do we behave as Jesus would do to the ones who serve us?)
Also this scene can be wherever there is a crowd such as a sporting event, festival, etc.
Add a lot of background loud music to this. There is just too much activity and chaos around in these scenarios!
Maybe strife is beginning to break out where you are! What to do?
We must get ‘behind the veil’ in that place of perfect peace to our souls and hear that still small voice speaking to us.
If we get a check in the spirit to not go to a place, or either leave we need to obey quickly at that time!
Being in the wrong place at the wrong time could be detrimental. Still that is not my main focus for now with this particular article.
Are Christians not suppose to be Glory Carrier’s? Are we not suppose to be a light in this dark, dreary world?
If the Kingdom of God is within us, someone should benefit by us being among them.
Most definitely, if we discern properly there are always divine assignments around us wherever we go.
Does that not encourage you of being the church and not just playing church?.
Someone may just be waiting for a word of encouragement, a hug or maybe just a act of kindness today.
God bless you every one.
“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2
“I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” John 17:15-17
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Dear Joyce, thank you for this important insight and gentle reminder that we are in this world but not of it. That we are to be the salt of the earth and the light. The Holy Spirit recently gave me a psalm about being the light in this world and He reminded me yesterday to complete it. And again through your post He reminded me. Bless you my dear sister and much love to you. Gabrielle
Thank you Gabrielle. I have missed reading your post. Looking forward to reading that Psalm when you post. Love you sis
