Awaken, Oh Captive Ones
Father, My heart cries for those lost in darkness
Deception dulls their senses and steals the witness
Of Your glorious plan that would set them free,
To be the children of God, You created them to be
The fields are ripening, as harvest time approaches
The darkness in arrogant rage encroaches
Upon the nations with violence and hate
Trying desperately to thwart Your light at their gates
Give me Thy burden of prayer to see as You see
Fill my mouth with Your Word, to speak forth liberty
To shake the gates of hell, that they may crumble and fall
Raising Your banner of love over them all
I look up and see the intercessors on their knees
Their tear filled prayers and their urgent pleas
With utterances of supernatural parlance
For the harvest of nations stands in the balance
Awaken, oh captive ones, a new season has dawned
No longer can the deceiver abuse you as pawns
As the prayers of the righteous, bring your names to the throne
His mercy and grace revealed to each heart alone
No longer will the shackles of darkness deprive
The souls once bound by wickedness, deception, and pride
These liberated ones, evidence of His victory
Now are the children of God, they were created to be
