Authority, Power and Insubordination
One simple way to understand authority is this;
Consider a soldier on parade holding a loaded rifle, he has power, but he has to wait for authorization and a word of command from one who could be seated far away in an office of the commander in chief, barely holding a rifle, to give the order to shoot.
Why?
That one seated as Commander-in-Chief in his office, merely holding a pen, is indeed the custodian of the armory and the infantry — the gun you were given to wield was actually given to you under his supervision.
The same principle applies here…
You are sent to serve an Apostolic or Prophetic leader who has labored in The Kingdom; the Grace in his life begins to rub off on you, and you suddenly begin to feel you have what he has and can do what he can do — without recognizing that it’s out of his measure, a portion was given to you.
So rather than stand in parade according to your ranks, you take out your rifle and start shooting, without waiting for the command from your commander.
Here’s what The LORD told Moses;
“And The LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee. And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone.” Exodus 11:16-17.
This is what Korah and his clique didn’t realize! They believed they had become equal with Moses; having partaken of the anointing on him.
“Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men: And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown: And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and The LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of The LORD?” Numbers 16:1-3.
This is why the writer Of Hebrews told us;
“Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you,” Hebrews 13:17.
“And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in The LORD, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.” 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13.
Just as the Commander-in-Chief is the custodian of the armory and infantry; so also God’s Apostolic and Prophetic leaders of authority are custodians of graces, gifts and measures of power.
The Apostle Paul wrote;
“For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established,” Romans 1:11.
The LORD took out of the armory He had entrusted to Moses, and put it in the elders.
Likewise, The LORD takes out of the armory of His authorized ministers and gives you a measure.
This doesn’t give you the right to go on a shooting spree without approval.
May I add that, there are those trusted with authority that have given weapons to the immature, who ended up harming themselves and others with it.
I say this to the discerning.
True authority must be identified, honored and rightly stewarded, for the advances The People Of God must make in this hour.
“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Hebrews 5:14.

A very good resource to learn more on this subject, and I believe every Christian should read, is called ‘Spiritual Authority’ by Watchman Nee.
I have it in my Audible Library and have pulled it up often.
It seems the Key here is in the devolpement of the Mantle of Humility, (or Jesus Christ)
This is truly a process of wading through the Fiery Furnace of the Burning Love of God….

Thank you always Dear Joyce.
And there it is!! The exact answer to the question I asked of the Lord this very morning! Knowing my calling and annointing is teacher, not Apostle or Prophet, I have never-the-less felt the unction to pray with the decrees and declarations I read, yet I was feeling unsure and possibly unqualified. This defines the rank and file for me to step into. Thank you very very much!
A great honor it is.
Yes Amen
