The psalmist David, there, is trying to picture the immensity of God’s love and God’s mercy and he compares it to the height of heaven.

We need to say to our soul, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy name.”

I believe there’s a prophetic time.  I believe we are living in that time when God is determined to show mercy to His people, to restore His people.

The psalms present beautiful pictures of the world around us waiting for a glorious climax, the coming of the Lord in power, in glory, to judge and to reign.

In this second teaching, Derek not only shows how the direction of our lives can be shifted by the Word of God.

One thing I’ve always loved about the picture of God that we find in the Bible is this: that God is so understanding.  He knows our weaknesses.

Without discipline there can be no real teaching.  That’s one of the great problems of many aspects of our modern educational system.
