Arise! This Process Will Bring You to Great Progress!
Okay, this is long but it will truly help someone!
God laid this on my heart this morning!
Within all of those who have been born-again and made new in Him, is a longing to be 100% whole, well, and walking like Christ.
When we do things that are against His nature and who He truly is there is someone now inside of us who convicts us of those things that go against that new nature.
He begins this process in us called sanctification and we must “continue in His word” to the washing of the water of the word to adjust the old man nature in us to it on a daily basis.
We are to become more like Him on the outside as we renew our thinking to His.
“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free,” John 8:31-32.
We do not all start out the same
Not everyone, when born again starts at the same place in our thinking as others.
For example, my Mother was always a moral person even before she was born-again and what I mean by that is that, she didn’t drink, smoke, curse or chew. You get the point?
So she imparted that sense of morality into us children.
But for many who have just been born again, that is not the case.
They have had horrific backgrounds and upbringings. So for many the process of renewing the mind will take a lot longer than others.
This is why we cannot judge others!
We can however see if they have a desire to change and as mature believers help with that process but the word says we are to do it with humility knowing that we could fall into the same trap.
“Brethren, if any person is overtaken in misconduct or sin of any sort, you who are spiritual [who are responsive to and controlled by the Spirit] should set him right and restore and reinstate him, without any sense of superiority and with all gentleness, keeping an attentive eye on yourself, lest you should be tempted also,” Galatians 6:1 (AMPC).
Notice it say, “Those who are responsive to and controlled by the Spirit.”
Then it says that you reinstate them.
In other words, bring them back to the place that they left off and get them back on the right path, but do it without acting like you are all sanctimonious.
Trust me…. you probably did something worse than that in your walk but stuff no one could see.
Anyway, it is time to restore those that have a longing in their heart to walk in the way of the LORD but just can’t get it right because of their old way of thinking from before they were Christians.
Our mind dictates our actions
Our thinking is what dictates our actions and until our mind is renewed in an area we will always act out of that mindset.
No one is exempt. But, here is the thing. “His mercy is new every morning!”
There is this thing that Christ gave us called FORGIVENESS, that will reset us every day to a place where we can start over and learn the right way everyday.
It is our RESET BUTTON so to speak. This longing in our new born again lives to GET IT RIGHT IS AVAILABLE TO US DAILY and Jesus made that possible!
HALLELUJAH!
A new start daily
Yes, we can have a clean start everyday, as we pray, “Father forgive us as we forgive those who sin against us.”
God knew that we would struggle with the renewing of our mind.
He knew as the Apostle Paul said in Romans 7 that, “the things that we don’t want to do we would do and the things that we do want to do right that we don’t do them,”
When he is talking about Himself here, he is speaking of His New man in Christ.
“That man,” wants to do what is right now that he has a new nature.
“That man” doesn’t want to do what the old man use to do, but until that old mindset is renewed day by day, we will always do what the old mindset dictates because the old mindset is opposed to our new nature.
The Point!
I feel that what my point is here and what the LORD spoke to me today for many of you is that, He sees your desire to do what is right and in fact, He put His Spirit in you, not only to will to do right but also to perform what is right and good and noble, but first you must “KNOW THE TRUTH” or get it so much bigger in your heart and mind that you will begin to act automatically out of that new mindset!
That is the process of renewing of the mind and what the Bible calls Sanctification.
Don’t give up on yourself in certain areas of your lives. keep repenting, keep getting up, keep renewing your mind, keep doing it until it is an automatic thing and then you will realize as Paul did, that YOU HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST! ”
Oh and please, please, do not judge others while they are going through the process!
This process is turning into great progress!
Jesus is praying for you!
You see, before Peter ever acted out of His own fears and denied Jesus, Jesus knew that He would and said this to him in Luke 22:31-32 (KJV).
“And the LORD said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.”
You see He had already been praying for him so that when he had repented He would be able to do His ministry!
My friends the ultimate goal and reason that Jesus died and put His Spirit in you. was so that you could repent and go forward and do what He has called you to do!
He is praying for you!
He is in you to will and to do of His good pleasure.
So arise! Arise from the frustration and prostration in which circumstances have kept you! Rise and continue in His word!
Rise and walk in His Word daily until you become one with it!
Don’t give up, and don’t give into the taunts of the enemy.
You have a new man living on the inside of you that will never quit if you don’t!

You are a daughter of Encouragement
Thank You For this much needed message because I am still struggling with somethings in my walk with the Lord. Thank You for the reminder this is a process towards progress and our struggles don’t necessarily disappear overnight especially when trying to overcome old-habits.
I needed this today. God bless.
Thankyou. Thiz is just what i needed today. I have been walking with theLord for over 20 years and even to this day I feel I have failed Him. He forget and every day is a new beginning but I am the one who needs to forget my yesterdays.
