Are You Walking Through a Valley?
This is for someone tonight!
Beloved Child of God. Are you walking through a valley at the moment?
Know this. God is with you and He carries His Staff of Authority to defeat ALL the spirits of fear, death, hell and darkness.
Though you may feel you are in a dungeon of darkness, or walking in a pathless desert; Or though you are suffering through a drought or in the midst of a blinding darkness like a sandstorm; though you be in the midst of the darkest of afflictions, know that Jesus is right beside you, walking with you, and delivering you from ALL of your afflictions.
He is the King and Conqueror over your grief and fear and He is your Defender and Constant Companion through the Valleys of Life.
His Presence shall bring you confidence and comfort, hope and joy; He is Light in the midst of the darkness of the valley, and Life in the midst of death!
“Beloved. Have no fear of the valley you are going through. I AM with you, not only on the mountaintops but also in the valleys.
Though you may feel lost and blinded in the darkness, and the storms have confused you and caused you to fear, I AM guiding you with My Spirit, for I will NEVER leave nor forsake you.
Though the battles of life may appear to be raging and you feel that you have been abandoned and left alone, I AM He who sticks closer than a brother.
Though you pass through the Valley of Weeping, JOY shall come in the morning. I shall turn the dark, dry and barren valley into a Place of Springs.
I AM more than enough, Beloved, to guide you and protect you through the perils of this earthly life.
For you have died and you are now ALIVE in Christ. I have translated you from the kingdom of darkness into My Marvelous Light!
I shall turn your darkness into Light, death into Life, the desert into Paradise, your mourning into dancing, your sorrow into JOY.
This is My promise to you, Dear One. No matter what the bad report says, My Report is that you are healed, saved, delivered, prosperous, comforted, and loved.
Though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, realize that the enemy can only cast a shadow to put fear in your heart.
There is no substance to it. He has no dominion over you. The Truth is this: I have covered you with the Shadow of My Hand. You dwell in the Secret Place of the Most High, abiding in the Shadow of the Almighty.
The Shadow you abide under is Mine, My Child. I have gathered you into My Arms and I carry you close to My Heart. So when darkness surrounds you and the Valley of the shadow of death seems so real and deep and frightening, declare in Whose Shadow you are hidden.
My Rod and Staff shall chase the evil shadows away with the Brightness and Fierceness of My Love. Fear not, Little One, I AM with you as your Dread Champion, all darkness shall FLEE before He who is Pure Light!
Yes, My Child! I AM bringing you out of this Valley unto the Mountain of God! For the lawless one will be revealed, whom Your LORD will consume with the Breath of His Mouth and destroy with the Brightness of His coming!”
Psalm 23 (I am not alone) sung by Josh Sherman
VALLEY of the SHADOW OF DEATH : Used of the “darkness of a dungeon” (Psalm 107:10), of “the pathless desert” (Jeremiah 2:6); or, possibly, since it is there parallel with drought, of “the blinding darkness of a sandstorm,” and metaphorically of “affliction” (Isaiah 9:2), and of the “dull heavy look” that grief wears (Job 16:16). Addison’s paraphrase catches the true feeling of the original — “Though in the path of death I tread, With gloomy horrors overhead.” (Ellicott’s Commentary)
SHADOW : a dark area or shape produced by a body coming between rays of light and a surface. there is no SUBSTANCE to it.
THY ROD AND STAFF : Used both for GUIDING and DEFENDING the flock. The rod mentioned in Psalm 23 is a symbol of the Lord’s strength and protection. The rod was a sturdy wooden stick used as a weapon to fight off wild animals who might have hoped to make an easy meal out of an otherwise defenseless flock of sheep. The shepherd also used the rod to help him keep count of the sheep within the flock. Together, the rod and staff of Psalm 23 paint a picture of the Divine Shepherd who wields them. He is strong, competent, and trustworthy; He is present with His sheep, able to defend them and watch over them through all the dangers they face. (Commentaries, Biblehub, Gotquestions)
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4
“Blessed are those whose strength is in You, in whose heart are the highways to Zion. As they go through the Valley of Baca (Weeping) they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools. They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion.” Psalm 84:5-7
“Shepherd with Your staff Your people, the flock of Your inheritance. They live alone in a woodland, surrounded by pastures. Let them graze in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old. “As in the days when you came out of Egypt, I will show My wonders.” Micah 7:14-15
“He tends His flock like a shepherd; He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart. He gently leads the nursing ewes.” Isaiah 40:11
“They will not hunger or thirst, nor will scorching heat or sun beat down on them. For He who has compassion on them will guide them and lead them beside springs of water.” Isaiah 49:10
“I have put My words in your mouth and covered you with the SHADOW of My Hand.” Isaiah 51:16
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the SHADOW of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.” Psalm 91:1-4
“Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me in the SHADOW of Your wings,” Psalm 17:8
“How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the SHADOW of Your wings.” Psalm 36:7
“But the Lord is with me as a dread champion [one to be greatly feared]; Therefore my persecutors will stumble and not overcome [me]. They will be completely shamed, for they have not acted wisely and have failed [in their schemes]; Their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten.” Jeremiah 20:11 AMP
