Are You Truly Ready to Be a Prophet?
It is not an easy road when called to a position of leadership, and that is why it is imperative that one remains at the feet of Jesus Christ and and in constant communion with The Holy Spirit — because there will be times in the lives of ministers of The Gospel, not only prophets, when they will have to live the very things they PREACH, TEACH and PROPHESY!
Before God entrusts someone to teach or prophesy about a matter, He often allows them to walk through it themselves.
These experiences will bring a deeper understanding, compassion, and greater authority to contend with darkness and when ministering to others.
You will not be ministering by man’s knowledge or another man’s story but from what The LORD Himself has taught and brought you through.
Hosea the prophet was commanded to marry Gomer, a prostitute, as a living prophecy of God’s relationship with Israel (Hosea 1-3).
Jesus Christ Himself suffered and was tested in all ways so He could be a merciful High Priest (Hebrews 4:15).
When you declare Truth, you challenge the kingdom of darkness. The enemy often attacks in those very areas to discredit, discourage, or make the minister doubt their own message.
I’ve been asked before by someone whom I minister to, “When will God bless you?” This person was referring to finances……
Someone teaching about God’s Provision often has testimonies of seasons of lack and supernatural supply.
A Minister preaching on Forgiveness, likely had to overcome deep personal betrayals.
Paul preached Grace — but was given a “thorn in the flesh” to keep him humble (2 Corinthians 12:7-10).
Many who preach, healing face sickness at some point.
Those who preach Deliverance, often go through intense battles.
A Prophet or Minister personally experiences either spiritually, emotionally, or physically the burdens, struggles, or conditions of the people or messages they are called to address, so their Intercession will be effective.
Jeremiah wept over Israel’s condition (Jeremiah 9:1).
Ezekiel had to lie on his side for over a year as a Prophetic Sign (Ezekiel 4:4-6).
Apart from learnt theology — what have you been through that qualifies you?
Are you truly ready to be a PROPHET?
May God help us!
Shalom

Great post there aren’t that many real prophets today….a lot of fake ones though, always speaking.
God bless
Amen. I see that I live out these things like the prophets of old. Many years of training. God trains us in deep dark places to reveal His message.
So true Heidi, and so intense at times, for our maturity with the TRUTH; and when we think all is well, God comes with another assignment to make way for Revival.
Lord, we thank you for equipping us for Your Kingdom Purposes to set the captives free, the blind will see, the deaf will hear; all kinds of healing and deliverance In Jesus Name.
Blessings.
Thank you for sharing heart-felt message, I’d needed to hear it. SHALOM ALEICHEM.
