Are YOU Still on the Rails?
It’s seems that lately, so many have somehow gone off the rails, off course, wandered away from common sense and that they willingly have violated their conscience.
They have blown off (or simply “turned off”) those internal warnings about the things in their lives that they know need a course correction.
Have you ever gone through something so traumatic that it wrecked your faith?
You just feel completely shattered and left like a heaped up mess of emotional debris?
Washed up? Washed Out?? Wrung Out???
Maybe it caused you to question God, who you are, and whether you can do what He has created you to do.
Your faith, your strength to stand, has now been damaged. This is what’s called ‘shipwrecked faith’. (It happens to most humans here in earth by the way.)
Just how do you fix a shipwrecked faith?
You’ve been trashed! You completely messed up! Missed it! How can you fix shatteredness?
First thing……
MOST IMPORTANT.
Recognize the lie that caused the shipwreck of your faith!
The truth is what will build it back again.
Faith comes by hearing God’s Word and the more you hear it in your heart, the more it will build back your faith.
It will repair what was done and also give you a more firm, sober and mature faith.
God’s Word is powerful enough to fix your lack of and broken faith.
It gets to the very root of where you are broken. You may not even realize why that experience affected you so deeply, but God will begin to speak to you in love and expose the root causes.
Maybe someone you know went through something so severe that it wrecked their faith and they have turned away from the face of God.
Be like Jesus and go to them with with compassionate love and with truth.
Just as Jesus repaired Peter’s faith and set him free, He will repair them and set them free also if they will allow input, humble themselves, and be willing to take steps to get their life back on course.
You can’t do the work for them either my friend. They must walk it out with THE ULTIMATE FRIEND and bulldozer of debris. Jesus Himself.
“Here is my command to you: Fight well in the LORD’s battles, just as the LORD told us through his prophets that you would.
Cling tightly to your faith in Christ and always keep your conscience clear, doing what you know is right. For some people have disobeyed their consciences and have deliberately done what they knew was wrong. It isn’t surprising that some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their love for God like that.” 1 Timothy 1:18-19.
Prayer:
Thank You LORD for Your love and Your truth. It is so real!
It affirms who we are in You. My faith! Make my faith strong again. I believe in the changing power of Your Word.
I ask that you help me to share Your love and Your truth to someone that needs their faith made new again.
Help ME to get back up, back into the flow, back to YOU fully.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
