There is a difference between being Holy Spirit led into the wilderness,
and being led into the wilderness by a demonic spirit!

Being led by the Holy Spirit and being led by a demonic spirit have similarities of feeling “pain” and the visit of tempter and temptation….. However, the differences are these:

When the Holy Spirit leads one into the wilderness, the flesh is denied pleasures such as food etc. As led of the Lord, you will be uncomfortable, you will reflect on the goodness of God, you seek more of His holiness! Loneliness may present itself, the tempter and temptation will show up, but the Holy Spirit will bring everything back to your remembrance that you may win against the battle for your mind; comfort will show up! Encouragement, grace, love and strength, conviction, all of the Holy Spirit are living here to help develop you even greater, for the glory of God! Life and righteousness live here.

When a demonic spirit leads one into the wilderness, it will lead through influences not of God, whether that be through people, situations, etc. that you have invited to “come visit your tent!,” that were not to be there! You knew it was wrong, but you still gave in (Psalm 1:1-6), confusion and frustration set precedence in that wilderness; it will make you feel “out-of-wack” spiritually and even physically; one will feel as though they are suddenly “railroaded” like… “what just happened?”; feeling lost and feeling far away from God, you will be more focused on what or who through interaction with it, put you in the wilderness? You will continually dwell on the wicked act(s) participated in, rather than getting back up and beginning again. Thorns and roots of bitterness are grown and “wild beasts” of condemnation and death, live here.

If you are in the demonic wilderness, I prophesy to you now that you will not die but shall live and shall cut through all of the dead branches, thickets and shrubs and make your way back home unto safety! You shall not eat any longer from the pigs trough! You shall return, safe and sound of mind! Peace of the holy spirit shall be your companion! Panic shall not walk with you another day. You shall be made clean and called clean! Redemption is your portion and you shall sing a new song and break forth with a brand new dance! You shall rejoice then, for you shall rejoice now! You shall push past the branches and see the breaking of day, again! Keep walking! You are very close to the end of the wilderness!

The Son is before you and He shall shine His glorious light unto you that you find your way out! Keep walking….. Healed, not healing, is your portion! You are healing as you walk, keep walking through!

“Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. ² After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. ³ The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
⁴ Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
⁵ Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. ⁶ “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”
⁷ Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
⁸ Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. ⁹ “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
¹⁰ Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”
¹¹ Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him” Matthew 4:1-11.
