Are You Glue or a Wedge?
2 Words in 1
What or Whom do you Seek?
“Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart,” Jeremiah 29:12-13.
God’s Word makes it clear that when we seek we will find. We are all seeking, are we not?
So the question is not so much whether or not we are seeking but WHAT we are seeking.
Are we seeking the face of God? Do we desire Him with all our hearts?
If so, rest assured you shall find Him. When we seek His Kingdom there is a blessing that accompanies it. ALL these things shall be added unto us.
However, if we seek out of the greed and vanity of our hearts we will find all we have sought and more. We will sow our seeds of wickedness and reap the destruction that springs forth in due season.
So this Kingdom principle applies not just to those things which are holy but all things.
Again I ask, what or who do you seek? In the end there is only one pursuit that will not disappoint. There is only one who will give far more than we could have asked for in the first place.
Are your eyes fixed on Him?
Are You Glue or a Wedge?
Complete and total trust in God acts like glue. Once we are bonded and the glue is cured it is nearly impossible to separate the two elements.
However, doubting God acts like a wedge.
While we may notice it when it’s first inserted, with each new swing of the enemy’s hammer we find that the distance between us increases. Eventually we find ourselves wondering how we trusted Him in the first place.
So which is it? Are you stuck together, or are you falling apart?
