Are we too Superstitious?
Should we appease the gods? Definitely not!
Good morning.
We know there are many gods, in this world. That is with a ‘little g’.
Still there is only one True and Living God!
( He is found through the Son, Jesus Christ who became flesh and dwelt among us. Born of a virgin, without sin. Tempted in all points yet without sin. Crucified, Rose again and is ever interceding for us. It is only the blood of Jesus that can save us from sin! )
The Bible says do All we do for the glory of God.
“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31.
Getting back, you will see what happened in Athens at Mars Hill. They were a superstitious people.
I will put those verses at the very end. Apostle Paul rebuked them and brought truth and life. Then he departed from them. Some heard him, clave and believed, although.
We need get rooted and grounded in the ‘Faith’ more so now than ever before!
“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Colossians 2:6-8.
People are grasping for a lifeline these days.
Where do we turn? Lets turn only to the Real Jesus with no compromise!
I will share that Article below and soon close for now.
“Let’s Learn About and Know the Real Jesus for Ourselves“
Souls are in the balance people! Lets reach them while we still can, while it is still day.
Let’s no more play Church, but be the Real Church!
“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” John 9:4.
God bless you.
“( For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing. )
Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; that they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: for in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.
So Paul departed from among them.
Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.” Acts 17:21-34.
