Are We Seeing God & Making Peace?
We Must Repair the Breaches!
Good morning.
In this teaching, we will primarily just go into two of The Beatitudes today. Hopefully I can tie it together clearly.
The Bible says,
“Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8
Next is:
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.” Matthew 5:9
Just think how very necessary it is to be pure in heart.
Building upon that foundation here, we will see how important it is to try to keep the peace.
Then it will just flow naturally for us to try to bring ‘reconciliations’ between others that God brings into our lives.
Know though many people just love to fight and bicker!
You have to learn and know when it is time to back off if others are not listening.
Some people we know have a ‘cold war’ going on between them in their conflicts with others. It is just as dangerous!
Here are just some ways I see we can try be a peacemaker as a Christian.
#1 See good qualities in people, and bring these points out while talking to the ones with oppositional views.
#2 Try to see if misunderstandings can be properly dealt with.
#3 Look for ways to heal and not bring further divisions in a conflict situation where people are at odds.
Never stir! Listening to much of ‘he said, she said’ does not get us anywhere.
#4 Listen well, let them know you are really hearing them.
#5 Stay focused and don’t get swayed by the ones who want you to take their side.
Never do it, the side taking! Still, stand for what is right always. Stand for truth but always apply mercy in any given situation.
#6 Cut to the chase, as they say.
The bottom line should be getting to a peaceful resolution.
Could it just mean, the pure in heart will see God as He truly is, Righteous and Holy?
When we see the truth in any situation of what is going on spiritually, we must still apply much ‘mercy’.
Remember, our Father in heaven has sure been merciful to us!
The Word of God says,
“If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” Romans 12:18
#7 Don’t forget to pray with and for the ones in the conflicts.
They must know repentance is most important and forgiving one another!
Let’s Dig our wells deep. Then let that living water flow out of us. It will bring much needed life to others!
As I searched for more teaching messages to go with this article, this is the one I found most applicable” “Unity, Peacemakers & Intercessors Needed“
I believe there are some people out there reading, desperate to be used of God in the ‘Ministry of Reconciliations’.
They hate as I do all the strifes and divisions not only in The Church, but between family, friends etc.
There are several links in the article, if you are one of those digging to go further in the ‘Ministry of Reconciliations’.
In closing, know what The LORD hates. Let’s depart from these things always!
God bless you all.
“These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.” Proverbs 6:16-19
