Are We Making Ourselves of No Reputation?
Where is our Cross and are we dying daily?
Good morning.
It felt as if Rachel Robinson was just singing this song to me as I listened just now.
God is such a Good God, and always a present help in the time of trouble.
We must ‘walk the walk’ and ‘talk the talk’ as they say in Christian circles.
It is necessary to be the ‘Real Deal’, though!
Also we should not want to be seen of men.
“For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:3.
There is too much ‘phoney baloney’ out there with people playing Church and pretending to be something they are not!
We are all in a process and surely haven’t arrived yet. Still shouldn’t we be growing up in The LORD, yet? Let’s just be what we are but not make excuses for our actions.
I saw an article right on HKP that touched me to the core by Jacob Awagah about the Cross: “Move Beyond THE CROSS? No Indeed! Rather, We BOAST In THE CROSS!“
Hope you will read.
Have we thrown our Cross away in this generation?
Must we not bear our Cross even of self- denial anymore?
Must Jesus bear the Cross alone and all the world go free, as the old song goes?
We need to look up, wise up and not get off the right path. It is a straight and narrow way.
The wrong path with the wrong gospel message will surely lead you astray!
There is no easy pathway, but the glorious True gospel message is alive and will breathe life into you!
Hope you will ponder and meditate on this message.
God bless you all.
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name,” Philippians 2:5-9.
“But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.” John 2:24-25.
“I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.” Philippians 4:12.
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8.
~ Joyce D. McGuire
My name is Joyce D. McGuire, called to work in and for the Kingdom of God! To lead we must try to follow Jesus Christ closely. That is my heart. I am a Chaplain to the prisons; prophetic intercessor by His grace; author; and a Mother in the Kingdom of God. To many I am simply Mama Joyce. Some favorite verses of mine are Matthew 11:28-30.
Dearest Joyce, As I have walked through some of the darkest hours of my life lately, I have constantly sometimes all day sang this song. Truly, we can sing, “ALL of my life you have been faithful…what a good, good Father.” He keeps pouring out His goodness.I so appreciate your steady walk of faith that never wavers. I love this family here that keeps encouraging each other. Again, thank you Jill and Angus for the beautiful example you set! As I read this word, I kept hearing, she has my heart and her heart is beating in rhythm with mine for salvation to come for all who are lost. Love you my friend, Sandi
Sandi, your reply touched my heart. Thank you dear sis! Yes, we are family on here and I love them to!
I often think of Jill and Angus and there steady faithfulness to keep this site running alone. I cant imagine all the other endeavors but what beautiful hearts for our Lord!
Sandi, I got you for the same with me re: that song! Me too it is very dear to my heart. It plays a lot in my spirit man. I love you much beautiful Sandi. Prayers and hugs
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him,
But its end is the way of death.
John 10:12 But the hired man [who merely serves for wages], who is neither the shepherd nor the owner of the sheep, when he sees the wolf coming, deserts the flock and runs away; and the wolf snatches the sheep and scatters them
We are in the time of scatter you should have no trouble identifying the wolves or the hirelings who don t care about the sheep it’s just a job. The other variable is people who worship the temple, notice Lukes’s gospel when Jesus cleanses the temple (money traders) we assume Jesus left at the end of the day and they got their temple back yet if you follow the story they did not and it is why they put Jesus on the cross and what Judas deal was all about and why they could not answer Jesus original question weather Johns baptism was from God or man (fear of being stoned) Their source of revenue had been taken from them and Judas was involved with trying to right this grievous financial wrong
Jay we most assuredly know we are in the last of the last days as we see many things being fulfilled in the Bible.
Still we know that one day is as a thousand years with the Lord, and a thousand years as one day. Found in 2 Peter 3:8.
No wonder He asked when He returned would He find faith on the earth? Found in Luke 18:8
We must focus on the truth and what is right. Much is being revealed as we have listening ears in the spirit.
Would that all would come to repentance and salvation. We must just still keep trying to reach out to the lost. Some will sow, others will reap, but surely God gives the increase. Thank you.
God bless you
Joyce,
“Surely I say to you that you have My heart for mankind. For much is about to happen, yet you are still at the front of the line encouraging, strengthening, pouring out wisdom & My Love for all people.
So for those who give out of themselves, when there seems none left to give, i will give even more, for they have wisely used what I’ve given them.
For there comes a time, when you cant hide away, but must stand & do what needs be done. You must put your money, energy, humility, wisdom, strength, love, & all that I am in you FORWARD to be used by Me, fully & completely, to follow My heart, above yours.
So you have done, My Beloved. So you have done. Well done.” Papa
Bev, you will never know this side of earth, how much Father’s words meant to me as I read last night!! Thank you so very much for sharing them. Also as I read it was the very minute they were needed. Isn’t the Lord always on time?
For years in the past, when I would just be talking to the Lord, I would address Him as “Papa.”
I treasure you and all you share from our Lord’s heart. Blessings, hugs and prayers, Joyce
