If we have surrendered our life to GOD, set ourselves apart for Him who has called us, let us do some soul searching in all sincerity and examine ourselves. Do we have idols in our heart? Have we lived or do we live our life for Him on a daily basis? This is not about what we do for Him in ministry. The call is to a long journey, to a lifestyle of total consecration. Are we giving of our best to GOD?

How will GOD measure our love for Him that we hold in our heart, although we always said that we loved the LORD with all our heart?

What have satisfied our heart, that led us to live with less when we could have the whole counsel of GOD?

“Then certain of the elders of Israel came to me and sat before me. And the word of the LORD came to me: “Son of man, these men have taken their idols into their hearts, and set the stumbling block of their iniquity before their faces. Should I indeed let myself be consulted by them?

Therefore speak to them and say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Any one of the house of Israel who takes his idols into his heart and sets the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and yet comes to the prophet, I the LORD will answer him as he comes with the multitude of his idols, that I may lay hold of the hearts of the house of Israel, who are all estranged from me through their idols” Ezekiel 14:1-5.

Whatever answers we give to GOD, we know that He already knows the truth. So we must each respond to Him according to the truth of our being. GOD is just. Gracious is He and steadfast is His love and purpose. Amen.
