Are the Problems Witchcraft — or the Consequences of Our Sin?
Sometimes unraveling the mysteries that surround the issues in our lives will require us to inquire of The LORD, just as David did.
While there are times when others malicious intents are the cause, they’re times when we must ask God if it is our own sin consequences!
The truth of the matter is, even though God forgives us when we genuinely Repent, there can still be natural consequences for our actions.
Sowing to the flesh has the potential to create personal harm, relational damage, or spiritual repercussions!
God’s Forgiveness removes the eternal penalty of sin (Romans 8:1), but it doesn’t always remove here on earth.
For example, God forgave King David after repenting for his adulterous relationship with Bathsheba, but he still faced the loss of his child and we all know the judgement with his family (2 Samuel 12:13-14).
The Prophet Nathan told him that because of his sin, though the sword would never depart from his house, his own wives would be taken by another (a foreshadowing of Absalom’s rebellion).
Whatsoever a Man Sows That Shall He Also Reap!
“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” Galatians 6:7-8.
Our actions have consequences, whether good or bad, and repentance doesn’t always undo what has been set in motion.
“For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind,” Hosea 8:7a emphasis added.
Our sinful actions often result in severe consequences. “The wind” symbolizes the trivial or seemingly small sinful actions, but “the whirlwind” represents the overwhelming and devastating consequences that come as a result.
“But if you fail to do this, you will be sinning against The LORD; and you may be sure that your sin will find you out.” Numbers 32:23.
Here, God warns the Israelites that their sin will not remain hidden and will eventually come to light.
Sometimes, God allows consequences as a form of discipline to teach and refine us (Hebrews 12:6-11).
It helps build character, we learn humility, obedience, and dependence on Him to keep us on the righteous path.
A part of growth in Christ Is facing those consequences, we have to be accountable for our own disobedience and thank God for His mercy because the He has not dealt with us according to the sin.
Ultimately, God’s forgiveness is about restoring our relationship with Him, but the process of growth and maturity often involves facing the results of our actions.
May God help us all!
Shalom

So true..amen.
What does it mean when I had a dream a demon was sitting on a family member, then the next night my youngest child told me she saw a small creature with sort of a man’s body but small hands floating above a sibling in the middle of the night while sleeping. I pray against these things almost nightly as I remember. We fear the Lord. Why are these demonic things bothering us? Why does God allow it when we pray against it?
What a great question.
It’s surely a mixture as many times we call things on ourselves by our sin but similarly, witchcraft is rampant even among the churches, so we almost invite them to curse us and our plans.
