Another re-release from 10 years ago but so relevant for today.

There is a persistent theme that I hear The LORD speaking about to me, and I’m sure, to others.

What I’ve been hearing for a few years now is a question which The LORD is pushing at me over and over — even today.

I once heard a sermon on Isaiah 54,

“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.” Isaiah 54:2-3.

The question I hear is this, “When will My People appropriate the power I have given for their use?

When will they realise it is for every one of them and not just for the chosen few?”

So I looked up the word ‘appropriate’, just to be sure I was hearing and understanding correctly.

One of the given meanings is this — “to take to or for oneself; take possession of”, and that is exactly how I understand it in this context.

“When will My People take to, or for themselves the power I have given them. When will they take possession of My Power?”

The LORD showed me once again Moses parting The Red Sea, and Elijah parting the Jordan River.

The LORD showed me the sun stopping for a whole day for Joshua, and the sun going ten steps back for Hezekiah and Isaiah.

The LORD showed me resurrection after resurrection as he brought dead people back to life — he even reminded me that I have met three such people for myself.

“Enlarge your tents,” says The LORD, “stretch your tent curtains wide. Step out in faith and use the power I have given you.

Use the Authority I have given you.

Watch as the world stops and takes note, and turns to Me, perhaps in curiosity, and acknowledges Me.” He continued.

“Very soon, there is coming a turning, a realisation, that My Holy Spirit is working both with you and for you.

There is coming such a deluge of my power that the world will begin to turn back to Me.”

Note — The Holy Spirit is working both with us and for us.

“My Son is one day coming for His Bride, and the world will know His Power before He comes.

Tell My lost and hurting people before it is too late.

Show them My Power to heal, to set the captive free, to bind up the broken-hearted.

Show the world my love before it is just too late.”

I saw The Joy of Salvation coming upon thousands.

I saw The Holy Spirit falling in power upon meeting after meeting, in town after town.

I saw the effects of the tsunami of God’s Love overwhelming people — ordinary, everyday people, homeless, unemployed, addicts, abused people as well as employed, family people.

I saw lost people finding their Saviour and their Salvation.

The time for us to appropriate gods power for ourselves — exactly as he intended — is today — right now!

Time is too precious, too short for us to waste it scratching the surface of gods provision and gifts.

We need to go deeper with God today.
