Anointed With Fresh Oil
“Your anointing has made me strong and mighty. You’ve empowered my life for triumph by pouring fresh oil over me.” Psalm 92:10 (TPT)
That is such an awesome paraphrase of Psalm 92:10 from The Passion Translation
Oil speaks as a metaphor of The Holy Spirit throughout the bible. Jesus taught a parable in Matthew 25 about ten virgins waiting for the bridegroom’s arrival.
“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. ” Matthew 25:1-4.
All of them were weary, but only five wise ones brought extra oil for their lamps, while the other five foolish ones did not. The bridegroom speaks of Jesus in this parable.
Some of you are feeling drained and exhausted, wondering where The Holy Spirit’s presence has gone in your lives.
It’s as if the oil in your lamps is running low, and you’re struggling to find renewal. But know that The LORD wants to fill you once again.
He is about to pour out a new wave of renewal, refreshing and restoration upon your lives and ministries. Fresh oil is on the way in abundance for those who will receive it.
I remember going to some meetings in Connecticut over twenty years ago where Jill Austin was ministering.
Jill was a “Seer” prophet and was very gifted in her calling. There were always miracles, signs and wonders in her meetings.
She not only prophesied over people but she trained us how to flow in this gift. People were activated in their revelatory gifts, and many people including myself began seeing visions and receiving prophetic words.
She would always ask the congregation: “How hungry are you?”
One time she was ministering to one of the women on the intercessory team. The lady was caught up in the Spirit and began to see angels ascending and descending on a ladder, which was Jacob’s ladder.
The LORD opened her spiritual eyes to see beyond the natural realm. It was something that she’s never experienced before. Jesus wants to open many of your eyes in the same way.
This morning I was reading this verse from the book of Amos in The Message bible.
“Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s decree. “Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings!” Amos 9: 13-15 (MSG)
When I read this I felt that The Holy Spirit was showing me the urgency and the magnitude of this season.
While some may fall away because of the warfare, there will be a vast number of people swept into The Kingdom of God.
We will see people delivered, and those who have been held in regions of captivity will be set free.
Deliverance is coming to those who are enslaved in bondage, oppression and hopelessness.
Those who have been enslaved with sickness, pain and suffering will be healed and released. Freedom is coming to those who are bound by addiction, sin and shame.
Liberation is coming to those who have been held in deception of false doctrines, and doctrines of demons.
They will receive a fresh revelation of the Word of God and their eyes will be open to the truth.
Confusion will be a thing of the past when The LORD pours out His favor upon them.
Amos 9 in the NKJV says,
“Behold, the days are coming,” says The LORD, “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it. I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; they shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. I will plant them in their land, and no longer shall they be pulled up from the land I have given them,” says The LORD your God.” Amos 9:13-15.
The phrase “the plowman shall overtake the reaper” is a metaphor in Amos 9:13, indicating a time of great abundance and prosperity.
Normally, the reaper would finish harvesting before the plowman starts preparing the soil for the next crop.
But this scripture is saying that the harvest is so bountiful that the plowman can’t wait for the reaper to finish, and instead, starts plowing while the reaper is still harvesting.
There is a new sound arising. It’s a sound coming from heaven. It’s the sound of revival, it’s the sound of restoration.
In the natural, it may seem as if The Body of Christ is on The Titanic right now and we are going down, but The LORD says, “You shall NOT go down, but My body shall rise again.
In the coming days you shall see My Glory in the land of the living, and I will pour out My fresh oil in abundance, upon this Nation,” says The LORD.
Blessings in Christ Jesus,
