An Adamant Harder Than Flint
Eli had gotten very old. He had heard of the terrible things that his sons had been doing.
It’s said here, that they did not know the LORD. He tried to talk to them and explain that they were causing the people to err; that they were doing great harm.
They would not listen to their father; they had no fear of the LORD and felt nothing would come of it. Then, “there came a man of God to Eli.”
The messenger spoke clearly, that the elder had “honored thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat, with the chiefest of all the offerings of my people.”
I’m feeling that some are about to say that we can’t be going and digging things out of the Old Testament and applying them to today. I agree; unless, we feel the unction of the Holy Ghost when we do.
God’s word is alive and it speaks from the beginning of the Book, all the way to the very end.
Let the Spirit, speak if this is for us now.
It’s no longer a matter of if many of us are going to have to stand up; it’s a matter of when.
The LORD give us strength in our body, minds and spirits today, to face and confront what we see, hear and feel just now.
And it’s going to begin in the house of the LORD; there is no getting around that. It’s going to begin in the Church; all members, whether within some kind of building, or without.
Why? Because the Chief Shepherd did declare it so. With much anger, He began at the front gates.
“Behold, I have made thy face stronger against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads….” Ezekiel 3:8.
God had just told Ezekiel that He had a special job for him to do. He was given a little preview of what to expect. God was about to send the prophet into the midst of His people to declare some things.
I have to be honest here. When I was first given this passage a long time back now, I had some real questions.
God had told Ezekiel, I’m sending you, but they’re not going to listen to you!
“Because they will not listen to Me….” Now, we might have just drawn a line. If those called and chosen, do not stand up in this hour, what were they called and chosen for.
Either our work has already been completed, or we have only yet begun. It’s one thing to talk about the fruit of the Spirit; it’s another thing to demonstrate it; particularly in tough times.
It does not matter what we think God has given us to say, to whom we feel we have been sent to say it, unless we get this.
Speaking the truth in love, is an order of the apostles. It’s a spiritual requirement of those who wish to be used of Him.
It may be, that we need to express that a bit stronger here and say that it must be done with humility; meekness and also gentleness. But here is why we need an adamant.
Too many people in the world, even among those who state that they are in the body of Christ, will take meekness, for weakness.
They’ll flatten you if they can. When anyone or anything tries to step in front of people machines that have grown full of themselves and their power, the real stand off begins.
To those of you who know about true spiritual warfare, it is vital that you minister to any newer chosen vessels.
Somebody, has to return to the practice of older teaching the younger. They taught us.
Do not attempt to confront or stand up to any spirit on your own today; without being full of the Holy Ghost.
Touch not mine anointed and doing things decently and in order, are two of the first comments many will encounter.
A truly anointed person, will listen and receive correction from the Spirit.
It is decent, and it is definitely in order, for God to speak through called men and women to His church and to His people.
What is not in order, is to deny the Spirit to have freedom to move as He would desire; to teach, lead and to guide.
An adamant, is a hard stone; unbreakable, unyielding.
“Then He said to me: “Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with My words to them. For you are not sent to a people of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, but to the house of Israel, not to many people of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely, had I sent you to them, they would have listened to you. But the house of Israel will not listen to you, because they will not listen to Me; for all the house of Israel are impudent and hard-hearted. Behold, I have made your face strong against their faces, and your forehead strong against their foreheads. Like adamant stone, harder than flint, I have made your forehead; do not be afraid of them, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 3:4-9.

This Scripture from Ezekiel is one of the precious Words of GOD that kept me going and standing, when facing VERY rebellious prideful people. When being the nice friendly lady to them, I saw mostly sarcastic hard faces. It’s finally good that so many rich nowadays can’t have children. They would break them into pieces with their cold “education programs”.
