America, How Long? — 8 Comments

  1. God Bless You, Mary for this wonderful post. I keep saying how long how long will it take to wake America up. Standing in prayer for America. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, Sandi

  2. Mary-

You spoke wisdom and truth. I’m cheering your to-the-point spirit common sense answer.

Per some who disagree w/you (and my recent post)….here’s my heart:

It is sad many believers can’t see reality when it’s at the door, b/c many have believed a neutral gospel. Had believers spoken up, or taken appropriate actions when darkness was ruling, many millions would have lived. Loving the Saviour and being His follower does not exempt us from doing our part, in fact, just the opposite. As Jesus said when the religious leaders were trying to trap him (the coin) with a “gotcha” question…He said “render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s” in Matthew 22.

Jesus had just returned to Jerusalem for the final time and recently finished sharing several parables with the crowd. Jesus’ enemies saw an opportunity to put Jesus on the spot in front of His followers. In verse 17, they say to Jesus, “Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” (ESV). It was a trick question. Jesus never taught escaping civic duty or responsibility. He respected the law, was an observant Jew, even paid taxes (the coin from the fishes mouth).

Part of ‘rightly dividing the Word of God’ is to ‘do good when it is in your power to do so’. Voting to see a nation governed by just laws – how can any believer in Jesus even debate that? Anything less is an excuse. Believers sometimes over-spirituallize the practical duties of living in a fallen world – Jesus didnt. He knew there needed to be order on earth. Or chaos would reign. We see evil, chaos reigning, when its allowed to rule.

As for those who have issue with a Christian’ shouldn’t feel its wrong
if they don’t want to vote; they say that until (1) they need a policeman in a life n’ death emergency, or a (2) crisis occurs, personal or national. Then they will appreciate “the vote”, that brought the help in. I’ve known ppl who’ve lived under/thru the holocaust, wars, terror in ✡️ & , and natural disasters. When push comes to shove, the ‘non-voters and dissenters’ are often the first to scream for help. Truth is – only those who suffered to come to a land where liberty was law, appreciate it fully. Those who never had to fight from a foxhole – they won’t get it – till its at their door. Talk means little. Courage requires sacrifice and action.

  3. MARY NEVER WAS IT MORE

Important TO,CHOOSE THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE.

ELIJAH IS VERY RELEVANT FOR THIS DAY..

    HE DESTROYED THE BAAL WORSHIPPERS.

  4. The truth is if more people were following the one true God and Father of Jesus Christ and not some political candidate this Country would not be in the shape it is in. It is a sad state of affairs when the church in America is depending on a man and not the God of all creation to save them. The truth is most just don’t want to change. No believer should be shamed into voting or not voting as if it is written down some where that your standing with God depends on it. Are we believers in Christ Jesus or a bunch of Democrats? Some things to think about. The time is not short it is here.

    • This is a quote from Christianpost.com:
In a day when over 25 million Christians eschew their right to vote in any given presidential election, 65 million do not participate in local elections, and 15 million are not registered voters…

We get the leaders we deserve when we don’t participate in elections.
