America, How Long?
“Then Elijah talked to them. “How long are you going to waver between two opinions?” he asked the people. “If the Lord is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!”” 1 Kings 18:21 (TLB)
Dear Ones, how long?
This was Elijah’s challenge to the people at Mount Carmel.
This was the place that God chose to call out Baal and his prophets. The people had to choose — or in our current language — “vote” using their freewill.
In 1828, Mr. Webster defined freewill as “the power of directing our own actions without restraint by necessity or fate.”
Our freewill cannot be taken away by the dark one and his minions. He must manipulate us into agreeing with him, because The Power of Agreement is where he derives his power from.
We face our own Mount Carmel challenge today as we head into November 5, 2024.
How we vote is recorded in Heaven, along with why we voted the way we did!
How long will Christians neglect this important right to vote (express our freewill choice) that was won and preserved by the shedding of American blood?
Don’t be like the people in Elijah’s day, who did not open their mouths in response to his challenge.
How long the Status Quo….
We must keep in mind that God sent Elijah to challenge the status quo of his day.
God intended that the people willfully choose who their followed.
This was not the first time God challenged Israel. He had Joshua do it to the generation that came out of the wilderness.
The LORD is challenging “We the People” today, to choose wisely for Liberty and Freedom that only He can preserve.
Challenge : How long will you allow the enemy to manipulate you into agreeing with him?
Choose wisely to follow The LORD and His ways.
Deny sickness and disease access to any part of your body.
Exercise your Freewill —- and choose the ways of The LORD: in politics; in your manner of living; and in your family relationships.
It is a good day to be on The LORD’s side.
You are an overcomer in Christ.
Have an overcoming day.
I bless you in Jesus’ Name!

God Bless You, Mary for this wonderful post. I keep saying how long how long will it take to wake America up. Standing in prayer for America. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, Sandi
Thank you. You are an encouragement to me.. Mary
Mary-
You spoke wisdom and truth. I’m cheering your to-the-point spirit common sense answer.
Per some who disagree w/you (and my recent post)….here’s my heart:
It is sad many believers can’t see reality when it’s at the door, b/c many have believed a neutral gospel. Had believers spoken up, or taken appropriate actions when darkness was ruling, many millions would have lived. Loving the Saviour and being His follower does not exempt us from doing our part, in fact, just the opposite. As Jesus said when the religious leaders were trying to trap him (the coin) with a “gotcha” question…He said “render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s” in Matthew 22.
Jesus had just returned to Jerusalem for the final time and recently finished sharing several parables with the crowd. Jesus’ enemies saw an opportunity to put Jesus on the spot in front of His followers. In verse 17, they say to Jesus, “Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” (ESV). It was a trick question. Jesus never taught escaping civic duty or responsibility. He respected the law, was an observant Jew, even paid taxes (the coin from the fishes mouth).
Part of ‘rightly dividing the Word of God’ is to ‘do good when it is in your power to do so’. Voting to see a nation governed by just laws – how can any believer in Jesus even debate that? Anything less is an excuse. Believers sometimes over-spirituallize the practical duties of living in a fallen world – Jesus didnt. He knew there needed to be order on earth. Or chaos would reign. We see evil, chaos reigning, when its allowed to rule.
As for those who have issue with a Christian’ shouldn’t feel its wrong
if they don’t want to vote; they say that until (1) they need a policeman in a life n’ death emergency, or a (2) crisis occurs, personal or national. Then they will appreciate “the vote”, that brought the help in. I’ve known ppl who’ve lived under/thru the holocaust, wars, terror in ✡️ & , and natural disasters. When push comes to shove, the ‘non-voters and dissenters’ are often the first to scream for help. Truth is – only those who suffered to come to a land where liberty was law, appreciate it fully. Those who never had to fight from a foxhole – they won’t get it – till its at their door. Talk means little. Courage requires sacrifice and action.
Thank you for sharing. The Lord is moving in America. I am following Him as you are. Blessings in Jesus name
MARY NEVER WAS IT MORE
Important TO,CHOOSE THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE.
ELIJAH IS VERY RELEVANT FOR THIS DAY..
HE DESTROYED THE BAAL WORSHIPPERS.
The truth is if more people were following the one true God and Father of Jesus Christ and not some political candidate this Country would not be in the shape it is in. It is a sad state of affairs when the church in America is depending on a man and not the God of all creation to save them. The truth is most just don’t want to change. No believer should be shamed into voting or not voting as if it is written down some where that your standing with God depends on it. Are we believers in Christ Jesus or a bunch of Democrats? Some things to think about. The time is not short it is here.
This is a quote from Christianpost.com:
In a day when over 25 million Christians eschew their right to vote in any given presidential election, 65 million do not participate in local elections, and 15 million are not registered voters…
We get the leaders we deserve when we don’t participate in elections.
Amen woman of God!
