Almost Too Late
“And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death. And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God. And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, and saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself. And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.” Luke 23:32-46.
This is a good time to think about dying — because of Christ’s sacrifice. Humans should consider ‘Self-Crucifixion.’
Why do we wrap s-o-o-o many things around us that are not coverings from The LORD?
Anytime a Christian latches onto any covering more than The Blood of Jesus, this action signifies trouble.
No suit of armor, or bulletproof vest gives us protection like The Whole Armor of God. Any other device is defenseless again sin.
We conclude that the two men on the cross next to Jesus were thieves. One seemed to be a hard-core criminal and the other a repentant sinner.
I dare guess what drove the man who stood up for Jesus to commit a crime. Nevertheless, his temptation to sin gave him an opportunity to meet Jesus.
By all account, this man was guilty and caught in the act. Sometimes a confession of sin is all needed to be set free.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9.
Often, people end up in the wrong place, with the wrong people, and doing the wrong thing.
Here we see a clear example of a guilty man who receives righteous judgment and eternal life.
The hard-core criminal received eternal damnation, because he refused to repent.
Perhaps both men were thinking their lives were over and no future hope existed.
Hope did not seem like an option for these criminals.
However, it was not too late for one man who admitted his sins and acknowledged Jesus as the Son of God.
I pray someone will read this message and realize it is not too late to receive Jesus as your person Savior.
Don’t let it be said, “TOO LATE!”

Dear Jeanne,
My greatest hope is that more people will come to know and accept Christ as the Messiah and personal Savior.
