All is not as it appears. In the natural there is a heralding of preserved freedom. There is an expectation that as we move forward we will return to a resemblance of a time gone by.

There is a resurgence of national pride for many. America is the land of hope restored. Yet this hope is misplaced. It is not hope in Me. It is hope in a man. All eyes are on one, but it is the wrong one.

This is not, nor was it ever, about Donald Trump. Yes, he is an instrument in My hand. I am using him to accomplish My purpose.

Still, My purpose and My plan is far greater and far more complex. He is one small piece of a very large puzzle. He has his position and I am placing him with precision and great care.

He will accomplish the purpose I have given him and no man or any other power will stop him. This does not mean he is invulnerable, but then his time is but for a season and that season is short-lived.

I heard the prayers of My people. This land has been given a reprieve. It has been brought back from the brink of destruction. Yet, like a flash fire that has been extinguished by a dowsing of water, there is still smoke. There are still hotspots. If these are not addressed with diligence, the fire will revive quickly.

The time to weep, wail and lament between the porch and the altar has not come to an end. The time to sigh and cry over the sins of this nation has not come to an end.

Where is the repentance?

If I will not preserve a man who stands in pride, surely I will not preserve a nation that continually lives in defiance of My word. In fact, such a nation must be humbled.

This is both merciful and just. Sometimes when a structure has eroded over time it is beyond repair. It must be torn down to the foundation before restoration can take place.

This nation will be laid low. Some may say this is an act of My wrath, but consider this. Which shows greater care, the one who leaves a dilapidated structure in place or the one who tears it down?

What an eyesore is such a structure! What a danger it presents to those who would carelessly enter in without first examining the state of it. What woes await those who make this a dwelling place and refuse to move.

America, you will be humbled. The only question is whether you will willingly come to your knees or whether you must be forced to them?

The decision is yours to make. I leave you with a final word of wisdom,

“Do not put your trust in princes or in a son of man in which there is no help. His spirit departs, he returns to his earth, in that very day his plans perish. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God.”
