After This!
“And AFTER THIS it came to pass that David smote the Philistines and subdued them,” 2 Samuel 8:1.
Don’t turn that switch of faith off. Don’t you throw in that towel. This is not the end.
It is just a hallway. It is that in between place! The valley right between the two mountains. Sometimes this place is called the “meanwhile!”
That means while you are in it, it can be mean, it can be hard and uncertain.
It can even be stormy and rocky! But remember Elijah when his servant saw the little cloud.
It says it came to pass in the meanwhile that the heavens was black with clouds and wind, and then Hallelujah that rain came down. The blessings came after the meanwhile.
You are positioned in what I call the “meanwhile!” The place of testing and trusting. The place that things feel so uncertain to you the wind of adversity is blowing hard upon your face, Oh but God wants you to know it is a temporary inconvenience and look to what is just, AFTER THIS!
Remember those words that AFTER THIS David smote the Philistines and subdued them.
Keep moving through that fire. Keep praising God in that midnight hour. Hold to every word the Lord has given you in the face of every negative report.
All you need to know is there is an, AFTER THIS!
The tables will turn, the enemy’s devices will blow up in his face, you will bounce back stronger, the offenses will not stick to you, the traps set for you will not prosper.
You will subdue and recover all! Hold on, it is around the bend of this stormy wind,
Just AFTER THIS!
