Abraham Lied About His Wife
The scriptures tell us Abraham, who was The Father of The Faith, was told by God to go into a land that he did not know and that when he got there, The LORD promised Abraham that every step of land stepped on, would be his forever and his seed.
Abram was one who went out following The Voice of The LORD.
But famine hit the land as he did journey, and Abraham turned and went down to Egypt. You must know that God did not intend Abraham to go to Egypt.
When Abraham got to Egypt he lied about his wife. The great man Abraham — The Father of The Faith — lied and told the Pharaoh that Sara — who was a beautiful woman — was his sister. He lied!
Out of fear Abraham lied.
So what do you lie about, being afraid?
Fear — not understanding your circumstances and becoming afraid of them — will only lead you out of The Perfect Will of God and will lead you into the permissive will of God.
Yes, The LORD let Abraham go to Egypt, but he only permitted him to go, and it was not God’s Perfect Will for Abraham.
So are you, who are reading this, sure you are in the ‘Perfect Will of God’, or are you doing something God has only permitted you to do, but it is not his perfect will for your life?
This is a very real possibility today in many peoples lives. Especially now when the devil has made so many afraid of what is coming!
It was not easy for Abraham to walk away from Egypt in famine!
It will not be easy for you to walk away either, for the test will be great to walk in fear of the unknown.
Prove your way….
Seek to do only God’s Perfect Will and Plan for your life. Then you will find it.
Never lie to cover your fear.
“and Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south. And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.
And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon: therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, this is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive.
Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee. And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair.
The princes also of pharaoh saw her, and commended her before pharaoh: and the woman was taken into pharaoh’s house.” Genesis 12:9-15.

I have posted this teaching Word in obedience to my Holy Spirit teacher.
I have heard the Warning. Do not fear, for fear brings much difficulty and will lead you out of God’s Perfect Will!

Just for clarity:
According to Genesis 20:12, in conversation with the Philistine king Abimelech of Gerar, Abraham reveals Sarah to be both his wife and his half-sister, stating that the two share a father but not a mother. This would make Sarah the daughter of Terah and the half-sister of not only Abraham but Haran and Nahor.
