A Word to Those Hanging Around the Law
Please read the following verses from Hebrews 9 (NKJV) then take up below to farther see my teaching about them:
The Earthly Sanctuary
“Then indeed, even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service and the earthly sanctuary. 2 For a tabernacle was prepared: the first part, in which was the lampstand, the table, and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary; 3 and behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All, 4 which had the golden censer and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were the golden pot that had the manna, Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant; 5 and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail.
Limitations of the Earthly Service
6 Now when these things had been thus prepared, the priests always went into the first part of the tabernacle, performing the services. 7 But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people’s sins committed in ignorance; 8 the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing. 9 It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience — 10 concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation.
The Heavenly Sanctuary
11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. 12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance,” Hebrews 9:1-15.
There are many today in religious circles who have never seen the difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant [Old Testament and New Testament].
These many today are having a very hard time keeping the covenants apart, they are mixing them up in such a way one cannot clearly understand the pathway they are on….
Those who are hanging on to the old covenant are those who still have not understood the difference between it and the new!
The difference is:
The Old Covenant did not make anyone perfect…
See and understand verses 9b and 10:
v9b:- In which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience, and
v10:- Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.
Please note this:
The Old Covenant could not make one perfect pertaining to the conscience… But was only an outward show of obedience imposed upon them until the time of reformation!
In other words the covenant in the old testament did not complete them or perfect them…
Simply because it spoke of and about, a coming day, in shadow of a better day coming in which Jesus Christ would perfect all men [who believe and receive Him] by His Blood which would not only cover up their sins for a season, but would…..
Wash all their sins away and make men acceptable unto God… having a much better way!
Note the scriptures that say it:
13 “For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh,
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”
Under the old system of the law and sacrifices instituted by God through Moses, they offered blood of bulls and goats which could only sanctify [set apart the deeds of the flesh], but.. Under the new, Jesus Christ offered….
His own blood which was backed up by a sin free life [without spot, to God] to purge [cleanse totally] your conscience…
From dead works… to…. true service to The Living God.
So if the Old Covenant could not make a man perfect in works, and had to be helped by the Blood of Jesus Christ, then why do men want to run back under the law, and confuse everyone by mixing the message?
Either men are saved by the keeping of the law, or they are saved by the Blood Sacrifice of Jesus Christ!
Today we are saved and have been given eternal life by the work of Jesus Christ. So now is that not enough?
Read it again and run on this truth:
15 “And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.”
Please note this: The Old Covenant could not make one perfect pertaining to the conscience…
But was only an outward show of obedience imposed upon them until the time of reformation!
In other words, they covenant in the Old Testament did not complete them or perfect them… simply because it spoke of a coming day, in shadows of a better day coming in which Jesus Christ would perfect all men [ who believe and receive Him ] by His Blood which would not only cover up their sins for a season, but would…..
The truth, is Jesus did die for those people who were under the Old Covenant…. just so they could receive: Eternal life.

I have posted this word as The Holy Spirit has given me understanding of it…
Now LORD, use this Word to set men free…
Yes “Free” from the condemnation of the law, to live in the freedom found in Your Blood of grace.
Go deeper with God, and trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ on His Cross, to receive: Eternal Life.

Powerful. Profound. Thanks Brother.
Thank you, dear brother, for this article. Indeed, many mix old covenant with NEW covenant. Many still trust in blood sacrifices. Satan now uses it as his religion. Last night I was reminded to you, brother Ken. I was wondering, where you are. I haven’t seen your face at HKP for a long time (but I must say, I am not up to date with all articles, and often I must skip, for my time is limited. I work 80% in shift work, not one week the same schedule). I remember, you had a Desert Zion project, a place for living like one loving and caring family. As time and money allows, I will visit you and Celeste, but at least online :)
