A Word of Encouragement on Prayer
This is not the season to be self-centered- intercession is the order of the day. There are many life situations surrounding you that are continuing because you have not prayed for it.
This includes predicaments that your friends, family members, coworkers, and even strangers are in. Do not take it lightly when people ask for prayer, it is your responsibility to pray for your brother and sister in Christ.
Many of you have tried to quiet God’s voice when he asks for you to pray for your enemies and those who have betrayed you. Don’t ignore his voice. Ask for God to massage your heart so that you can humble yourself and pray for your enemies. God is not overlooking the hurt and shame that was caused by your enemies, he is using that situation to turn your captivity (Job 42: 10-17).
Everything assignment is not about YOU. However, God has chosen you for such a time as this. To be the intercessor and the watchman on the wall. Use your weapons of spiritual warfare and fight on behalf of the Lord your God. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.… (1 Peter 5:8).
Do not let offense hinder your prayers. You are powerful. Do not let the enemy make lie in a bed of condemnation. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).
Be encouraged that God is still more than enough. He is able to meet your most dire needs. Trust in him and allow him to keep proving himself.
Shalom,
