I was reading Amos 1:6-8 (CJB)

Here is what Adonai says:

“For ‘Azah’s three crimes, no, four — I will not reverse it —because they exiled a whole population and handed them over to Edom; ⁷ I will send fire to the wall of ‘Azah, and it will consume its palaces. ⁸ I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him who holds the scepter from Ashkelon.
I will turn my hand against ‘Ekron, and the rest of the P’lishtim will perish,” says Adonai, God.”

“⁴ For ‘Azah (Gaza) will be abandoned, Ashkelon (coastal city in southern Israel) will be desolate, they will evacuate Ashdod (city about midway between Joppa and Gaza) at noon, and ‘Ekron (southern coastal city about 31 mi south of Tel Aviv & about 8 mi north of border with Gaza strip), will be uprooted. ⁵ Woe to the inhabitants of the seacoast, the nation of the K’reti! The word of Adonai is against you, Kena‘an (Canaan), land of the P’lishtim (Philistines): “I will destroy you; no one will be left.” ⁶ The seacoast will be reduced to pastures, meadows for shepherds, pens for sheep; ⁷ and the coast will belong to the remnant of the house of Y’hudah (Judah). They will pasture their flocks there and in the evening lie down in the houses of Ashkelon. For Adonaitheir God will remember them and restore their fortunes,” Zephaniah 2:4-7 (CJB).

And the LORD overcame me and said:

“For they shall come to me and I shall say I don’t know them. I speak to the nations. Wars and rumors of war you have brought upon yourselves.

REPENT! REPENT! REPENT!

FOR I COME! I COME! I COME!

You are ignoring My Signs, My Word, My Prophets.

You turn your backs to Me, you rebellious lot!

You say you are going do what you want to do.

I say to you, NOOOOOOO! NOOOOOOOOO! NOOOOOOOOOOO! HA! HA! HA! FOR I AM RULER OF ALL!

I will show you, who is KING. I will show you, who HA HA and you will see. You will know. You will understand.

Israel is the apple of My eye. Oh you who threaten and posture. Oh you, who throw your rockets and say you are ruler of the world. Be careful who you speak to.

FOR I AM HE, WHO IS IN CONTROL.

THUS SAYS THE LORD.”
