A Watch in the Night
My beloved child, come listen to Me
The darkness arises o’er a turbulent sea
Fear not, for I AM the unfailing Light
A Beacon of Hope, a watch in the night
Give Me your hand, I will lead the way
Give Me your heart, I won’t let you stray
Tho’ the enemy rages on your left and right
Remember, I’ve set a watch in the night
My eyes are always upon you, My child
Forever vigilant and observant, that’s My style
Able to keep you by My power and might
Continually on watch through the darkest night
Let My words of comfort deliver you from fear
Let My presence surround you as I hold you near
Let My Spirit fill you with great delight
I’m ever on guard throughout the night
Although the days grow dark, as chaos encroaches
Keep your eyes on Me, for My hour approaches
When the Light of My Kingdom will break through the gloom
Bringing freedom to many, while sealing others’ doom
My child, stay the course and keep the faith
No hesitation, no remorse, no steps to retrace
Forever My beloved who brings Me delight
I AM your Father, Who watches in the night
