A True Love-Union With Christ
When you are in a true love-Union with Christ, you will find yourself in a place of daily living on bent knee, with a total dependency upon Him.
You will never try to enforce anything He said in times past to your present advantage, or to strong-arm Him with anything He ever promised to others.
You will simply live in the moment, in perfect harmony and in Union with His will.
Knowing that He that is in you, controls you and controls every part of your life, and all who are directly connected to you, as He also controls His eternal destiny pertaining to you.
True sons live in brokenness, willing to receive from Him only that which He has foreordained for them.
Unwilling to have what He has not intended for them to have, unwilling to work for their own agendas, unwilling to move one inch from the Good Pleasure of His will being unveiled in them.
They walk with God!
Much of what Jesus taught seemed irrelevant to the people of His time.
It was a “hard word” to follow and therefore, although many believed on Him, not many were persuaded to become His disciples (yielded followers of His life example and obedient to His Words), (Mark 10:17-22, John 8:30, John 6:66).
Today we face no different circumstances. There are still many who believe on Him, but few who follow Him.
Today much of the Words of the Holy Spirit seems irrelevant (over the top, out of balance with ‘normal’ life, and too far fetched) to those who hear them.
Here’s the thing – whenever you find the word of god irrelevant to your life and circumstances, its not that it is – it is that you are living so far distant from God, that His thoughts seem to make no sense, and seem to be ‘estranged’ to the world of reason you have chosen to make yourself a part of!
Jesus became the first disciple of the Holy Spirit on earth, to open the way for us so we may become His Disciples – yielding to his inspired words and ways, and following his life-example for us.
Jesus Counsels the Rich Young Ruler
“Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”
So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’”
And he answered and said to Him, “Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.”
Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”
But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions,” Mark 10:17-22.
“As He spoke these words, many believed in Him,” John 8:30.
“From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more,” John 6:66.
