A Touch From The LORD
If you had an intimate affair where you enjoyed the presence so much, will you broadcast it without consent?
Actually, I mean, if you had [or hope to have] such a precious and sacred encounter with The LORD in worship, do you [why do you] put the camera on to broadcast such a personal and sacred moment without His consent?
Do you want likes and comments or a touch from The LORD?
Don’t you know that if God intended for it to be a very personal encounter, He wouldn’t show up when you put the cameras on?
Those who had a high profile personal encounter with God in The Scriptures were led of The Spirit into privacy before the visitation surfaced.
Moses, Elijah, Job, The LORD Jesus Christ…
“And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.” Matthew 6:5-6 KJV
“Likewise, when you pray, do not be as hypocrites who love to pray loudly at synagogue or on street corners — their concern is to be seen by men. They have already earned their reward. When you pray, go into a private room, close the door, and pray unseen to your Father who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.” Matthew 6:5-6 VOICE
““And when you come before God, don’t turn that into a theatrical production either. All these people making a regular show out of their prayers, hoping for fifteen minutes of fame! Do you think God sits in a box seat?
Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace.” Matthew 6:5-6 MSG
